How to Apply Nutrisse Ultra Color 

Full Head Application

Step 1. Allergy Test

48 hours before each use of the product, complete an allergy alert test, even if you have used hair color products before.

Step 2. Prep Hair

Place a towel around your shoulders, remove any jewelry, and put on the gloves. Open the color crème tube and screw the cap back on completely to pierce the tube.

Step 3. Mix Ampoule and Hair Color Crème

Squeeze the entire contents of the ampoule and color crème tube into the applicator bottle.

Step 4. Shake Hair Color Mixture

Shake the mixture for 30 seconds to mix evenly. Break off the tip of the applicator to start applying.

Step 5. Apply Hair Color to Roots

Begin with your roots by using the bottle to separate the hair section by section and applying the colorant.

Step 6. Apply Hair Color Through Lengths and Ends

Apply through the lengths and ends and massage well into your hair to evenly spread the colorant.

Step 7. Wait 30 Minutes

Leave the formula on your hair for 30 minutes, or 35 minutes if you have a lot of grays.

Step 8. Rinse Hair Thoroughly

Rinse your hair well with lukewarm water until the water runs clear. This step helps lock in the bold hair color shade while washing away any excess product. Avoid shampooing immediately after rinsing.

Step 9. Apply the Included Conditioner

Apply the silicone-free conditioner and leave on for 2-3 minutes.
Rinse thoroughly and dry your hair. Style your hair the way you like it and admire your new radiant look.

Root Retouch Application


Step 1. Apply to Roots

Begin with your roots by using the bottle to separate the hair section by section and applying the colorant.

Step 2. Wait 20 Minutes

Leave the bold hair color on your hair roots for 20 minutes, or 25 minutes if you have a lot of grays.

Step 3. Refresh Lengths and Ends

After the time has passed, apply the formula through the lengths and ends of your hair. Massage well to ensure the colorant is evenly spread.

Step 4. Wait 5 Minutes

Leave the vibrant hair color formula on your hair for an additional 5-10 minutes.

Step 5. Rinse thoroughly

Rinse your hair well with lukewarm water until the water runs clear. Avoid shampooing immediately to help the bold hair color pigments lock in.

Step 6. Apply the Included Conditioner

Apply the conditioner included in your Nutrisse Ultra Color hair color kit to replenish hydration and smooth strands after touching up your roots. Leave in for 2-3 minutes.
