About This Shade
Garnier Nutrisse shade 42, Deep Burgundy (Black Cherry), is our deepest burgundy shade in our classic Nutrisse range. It also provides 100% gray coverage.
Is This Shade Right For Me?
Deep Burgundy is best for anyone with natural hair between light brown and black. If you prefer a different burgundy shade, check out our Ultra Color range: BR2 Dark Intense Burgundy (Passionfruit), and BR3 Intense Burgundy (Lotus Berry). These shades will reflect much more intensely but please note that Ultra Color is not designed for 100% gray coverage. If burgundy isn't for you and you would like to stay in the dark brown range, there are many shades to choose from including 40 Dark Brown (Dark Chocolate), 413 Bronze Brown (Bronze Sugar), 415 Soft Mahogany Brown (Raspberry Truffle), 43 Dark Golden Brown (Cocoa Bean), and 434 Deep Chestnut Brown (Chocolate Chestnut).
For anyone who currently has their hair colored, there are special considerations for the color result you can achieve. Because of this, we do not recommend shade 42 for hair that has been previously colored shade 30 Darkest Brown (Sweet Cola) or darker.
