Is Shade 69 right for you?
Garnier Nutrisse shade 69, "Intense Auburn," gives you vibrant red results while providing 100% gray coverage. This shade is best for anyone with natural hair between medium blonde and dark brown.

For other red options, try shade 452, 66, or 76. For our most vibrant reds, explore our Ultra Color range including the shades: R0, R2, and R3. If you would like to remain in the light brown range but would like to try other reflects and tones, there are many shades to choose from including 60, 61, 63, 643, and 66.

*For women with currently color treated hair, there are special considerations for the color result you can achieve. Because of this, we do not recommend shade 69 for hair that has been previously colored shade 40, "Dark Brown," or darker. For more help, use our Shade Selector Tool to find the perfect shade for you!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bring back 76 Since u discontinued 76, I had to opt for this color which is the worst color my hair has ever seen. I've used 76 since 2003 and everyone I've encountered loved my hair color, always. This color is too dark world for you to suggest 66 or 69 in replacing 76, that's an understatement. I am so unhappy with the discontinuation of a lovely bright vibrant red that I am no longer going to be a garnier customer. I am highly upset because I have a special event coming up and this dark color is just messing up my vibe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What???!!! I just bought this and you guys are discontinuing it!!!! I just found my fav color!! As far as bleeding out, yes it takes awhile to wash it out. I had my hair rinsing for 40 min before all the excess color was out but that's probably because I used 2 applications and i have locs in my hair. It's my official color how could you guys discontinue. Bring it back!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome natural vibrant Auburn. Purfect! Okay....PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE bring back Garnier Nutrisse color creme in color #69 intense Auburn! I've used this hair color for years and is truly my signature color! I'm lost without it! I understand that you probably discontinued this color in the US market because you came out with the new R1, R2 & R3 intense Auburn/reds, but none of those are a replacement or match for #69 (no where close) and they are specifically for darker hair. I've read some of your replies to others, suggesting that they try #66 true red, but others that have tried that as an alternative have said it's not a close match, the research I've done suggests the same! I recently tried two other brands, in medium Auburn which fried my hair, didn't cover minimal grey and wasn't close to this color. Never again!! I've now resorted to buying up as many of #69, from any source I can find, in the hope this will see me through until you "bring it back", or provide a very close (hopefully exact) replacement! (I have to use two boxes at a time with longer hair) At the moment... Garnier is leaving me without options. Very disappointed! Of all the other similar colors you have in your range, you had to discontinue this one!! I have been a very happy loyal customer of Garnier and this products for years, just truly disappointed in the discontinuation of this color in this product line. PLEASE HELP!!! BRING BACK #69!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So disappointed I have been using this shade for 8 years! Since it's no longer available, I've tried medium, light, & dark intense Auburn & they are awful! The color rubs off into everything! Even after shampooing multiple times, it still gets all over my hands when I touch my hair! It's mortifying! It stains the straps & tops of my shirts when I wear my hair down! I now have to switch to a different brand after 8 years! This sucks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Color I've been using this color for years and I receive many compliments all the time about this shade so WHY WHY WHY is it being dicontinued??? It is the perfect shade of red for me, not too crazy. I've tried other shades of red but I don't like any of them except this one. I'm really annoyed that Garnier has decided to discontinue this and I would like to know why? I will be calling Customer Service to voice my complaints.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good color I have been using #69 for many years and am saddened by the fact you have discontinued it. I have tried #66 as an alternative when I couldn't find the 69 but it has to much brown in it. R3 is too light and the little color booster makes a mess. I will check the internet for any available but am not happy about having to do that. Can't recommend since you no longer make it. Sorry but I guess I will have to go to another brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing color...sad it's discontinued I've been using this color for over 5 years and to see that it has been discontinued, saddens me. The other red tones are either too red or too dark. It was the perfect color tone for me. I hope you bring it back soon.
