This conditioner is the BOMB!!!

I rarely write reviews but I am compelled to write one because reading reviews resulted in one of the best finds ever... Garner Fructis Color Shield Conditioner. I had googled an inquiry on a conditioner comparable to the one you find included in the hair coloring boxes and this product came up. The reviews led me to the nearest drug store. What I have experienced since then has been pure bliss!!!! I have hair that frizzes just listening to a bad weather forecast. The first time I used it, I was taken a back with the SHINE worthy of wearing shades.... It was that shiny! Believing it was just a fluke, I waited for my next wash a voila.... Shine bright like a diamond!!!! And now I have shiny beautiful hair since. I am extremely pleased and will create a national conflict if the formula changes or I cannot find it anymore. Thank you Garnier for the quality of your products but this one is absolutely amazing!!!!! Sad I hadn't found this sooner. I am assuming this product was recently included to the family and it does warrant the color RED. Good marketing strategy. It is truly a product that should stand out on its own.

Very unhappy with the new formula

So they changed not only the bottle color but also the formula and not for the better. I was happy with the color shield conditioner before they changed it, my hair felt and looked healthy and sleek. Not so with this new formula, my hair now feels like straw, will not use this again.

Why change something when the old formula was great? To save a few cents? Don’t understand why companies employ chemists and pay them so much money just to lose thousands of loyal customers. Bring back the old formulas. They work. Fire whoever made this bad decision. Apologize to your customers. Take action now!

Change formula/ bad reaction/bad smell

New formula made my scalp itch and my hair in bad condition/can't brush through it, it feels like hey with residue on it. I used old red bottle conditioner for years and it was great. Can't use new at all. The smell is also not good at all makes my eyes burn. I will never buy it again. This is not a first product. I was loyal to Fructis product for years, but it happened with my other products too.

Left hair oily with residue

I usually use a different brand of shampoo and conditioner but they were sold out so I bought Garniers color shield. This is the worst conditioner I have ever used. I dried my hair and it still looks wet because it is so oily. I ran my fingers through my hair and there is a residue left in it. I paid too much to just throw these products away so I will attempt to return them.

I absolutely loved this product in the RED bottle. But the new GREEN bottle that's the "same" formula has left my hair feeling dry and brittle. Disappointed as I've been using this product for years. It also doesn't smell the same or have the same texture. Using the color shield shampoo and conditioner, I included the ingredients below in the photos. Thank you.

Why did formula change?? I always loved Garnier until now. I just colored my hair the shampoo stripped it out. My hair feels dry oily and frizzy. I tried a few of the new shampoos.

This product (Color Shield Conditioner) is the best vegan conditioner I have ever used! Vegan conditioners are generally useless, but this product works. My hair feels soft, looks and feels healthy, it is affordable and easy to find in any of my local grocery stores. But most importantly, it is vegan and it works! (My hair is straight, shoulder length and very dry - if that is helpful to anyone.)

I think everyone should try this conditioner if they want silky, smooth, soft, and vibrant hair! The blonde in my hair is still bright as if I had just colored it today.
Not only does it keep the color vibrant, it keeps your hair soft and smooth. Before trying this, I could only use very specific conditioners or else my hair would get tangled, knotted up, and break while trying to brush it after a shower. Now, my comb glides effortlessly through my hair! No more fighting with my hair.
And if that doesn't convince you to buy this conditioner, maybe the price will. It's roughly $5 in my area, which costs less than a fancy frappacino. So for only five bucks, you get the look and feel of a salon quality product. What's not to love? Go out and try this! Your hair will thank you.

Long Lasting Color with UV Filters

The Garnier Fructis Color Shield Conditioner has been great for my color treated hair. I have been using it for two weeks now, and I see a major difference. The bright blonde I paid for is still their, and it hasn’t turned to the normal brassy gold I see after a few weeks of getting my hair colored. The UV filters are excellent! The only reason I gave this conditioner 4 stars is due to the lack of moisture in the shampoo. I struggle with my long hair drying out easily, so I have been having to rotate in a moisture shampoo as well.

One of the biggest concerns that I have with conditioners is that it can make my hair and scalp feel greasy, despite rinsing thoroughly. The smell is pretty good smelling, it’s one of the best smelling conditioners I’ve tried, it lasts a pretty good time after my hair is dried and I’ve applied product to it.

I have been using the conditioner for a couple weeks now. I do like the smell and my hair feels stronger. I am able to brush through my hair and flat iron it without breakage. The only thing is that my hair seems too dry.

After using this Garnier Fructis Color Shield conditioner, I am very impressed. This conditioner makes my hair very soft and healthy. The conditioner also helps preserve my hair's color. Soft, shiny, and smells amazing

My hair is naturally fine, porous, and oily at the scalp while dry at the ends. I like to keep it lightened and dyed red but keeping the red vibrant can be a challenge. Because of my oily root situation, I usually only condition from mid-length down. After just a few uses, this conditioner left my dry, somewhat crunchy ends feeling soft and smooth. I got so excited that I tried it from root to tip to see what would happen. Well, it turned out to be a little too moisturizing for the upper part of my particular head of hair but it did still smell amazing. If you’re in a similar combo situation as I am, I’d recommend skipping the roots. But I did use this with the matching shampoo and found that the pairing left my hair evenly vibrant and shiny throughout.

I loved the scent of the conditioner! It smelled Fruity and Light. It also did a wonderful job conditioning my hair and detangling my knots! My hair definitely felt healthier after using this for 2 weeks. An extra bonus- that it is vegan and paraben-free!

Typically I’m a skeptic when it comes to using any conditioner because they always make my hair extra oily and it feels awful. With this product however, it was totally the opposite! Using about a nickel size worth provided enough coverage for all my hair and made it feel super soft and not oily after i dried my hair! It also helped protect and restore my color and it smells amazing! Very impressed with this product!

I tried the Garnier Fructis Color Shield Conditioner, and I really loved the fruity scent. It made my hair smell great and overall it was great! My hair is very thick and gets tangled easily, and this conditioner made my hair soft and manageable. It untangled my hair and made it smooth all day, without making it overly greasy like other conditioners. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

So the main goal of this product is to retain color after dying hair... After 1 wk of daily use not only did it actually improve my color by making it more bold, but it made my hair softer and my split ends (I am due for a cut lol) less noticeable! I am definitely a fan.

The new improved formula is great, it makes your hair smell and feel great. After 2 weeks of using it I’ve noticed my hair very soft . I really like trying this new shampoo

Conditioner- garnier

The conditioner was so smooth and it had a very long lasting effect on my hair. I like the way it enhanced my curl pattern. Having color in my hair, I think it made it softer.

Do you want soft, shiny hair that smells amazing? If so, you should definitely try this Garnier Fructis Color Shield conditioner. I love showering because I know I get to condition my hair with this gem. The light, fruity scent is spa-like. My hair is so soft and shiny after using it. It is a new favorite!
