Our rich, non-drip hair color crème formula spreads easily through hair and smells great while you apply it. Apply to dry, unwashed hair. How to Apply Nutrisse Ultra Color

Step 1: Allergy Test

48 hours before each use of the product, complete an allergy alert test, even if you have used hair color products before.

Step 2: Preparation​

Place a towel around your shoulders, remove any jewelry, and put on the gloves. Open the color crème tube and screw the cap back on completely to pierce the tube.

Step 3: Combine

Squeeze the entire contents of the ampoule and color crème tube into the applicator bottle.

Step 4: Shake

Shake the mixture for 30 seconds to mix evenly. Break off the tip of the applicator to start applying. Use immediately after mixing. Do not store mixed color.

Application Option 1: Full Head

Leave the formula on your hair for 30 minutes, or 35 minutes if you have a lot of grays.
Apply through the lengths and ends and massage well into your hair to evenly spread the colorant.

Leave the formula on your hair for 30 minutes, or 35 minutes if you have a lot of grays.

Application Option 2: Root Retouch

Begin with your roots by using the bottle to separate the hair section by section and applying the colorant. Leave the formula on your hair roots for 20 minutes, or 25 minutes if you have a lot of grays.

After the time has passed, apply the formula through the lengths and ends of your hair. Massage well to ensure the colorant is evenly spread. Leave the formula on your hair for an additional 5-10 minutes. Blend well where new growth meets previously colored hair to avoid banding.

Don't Forget to Rinse & Condition!

Whether applying Nutrisse Ultra Color on your full head or for a Root Retouch, your final step should always be to rinse and condition.

Apply water to your hair and gently massage to emulsify the colorant. Rinse thoroughly until the water runs clear. Apply the silicone-free conditioner and leave on for 2-3 minutes.

Rinse thoroughly and dry your hair. Style your hair the way you like it and admire your new radiant look.

Does not cover grays!

Very disappointed in this product. The smell is extremely strong, my hair even after applying the conditioner that comes with the box of color was falling out in clumps. This absolutely DOES NOT COVER GRAYS! I used the deep violet color and my roots are an awkward shiny pink and the rest of my hair looks brown no hint of purple let alone intense violet. The product raves about it's amazing gray coverage on the box but don't be fooled you're going to walk around looking like a circus clown. I followed the instructions exactly as they were printed. Do yourself a favor and buy a more expensive product that actually delivers on it's promises. I only bought this because my usual brand was out of stock. Never again that's for sure!

Doesn't hold it's color anymore

I have been using this hair dye for over a decade becasue it used to be the only red hair dye you could easily buy at the drug store that didn't fade after 2 weeks. Sadly, they must have reformulated and that is no longer the case. Now I have to look for new hair color again.

My hair is box dyed dark brown but I hadn’t colored it in six months so my roots were super black.. Then I finally decided to try this hair color box in B3 and absolutely loved it! Its like a dark caramel or a soft brown shade it even color the rest of my hair that was already colored. But I cant find it in Walgreens aymore please bring it back!

Where the purple

As I was making it was more red. After washing out i can tell more red. After see more views an pictures. Im not seeing purple as shown on box. Same reviews say same things. Not a bad color only give it 2 stars cause it not purple as told on box. No where near.

Used thos to do a peekaboo on my daughter's very long, very straight, very dark and virgin hair. Followed directions precisely. Did the roots last and set for an additional 10 min. No overpowering smell, no burning. I did use foils since it was sectioned, and it turned out beautiful than I expected. Definitely lifted 8 shades. 4 stars instead of 5 because for the bits that I did, I used an entire box. Conditioner is very blue but doesnt stain skin, and smells fantastic. Best product from this brand ive ever used.

This dye is red not purple.

I bought this for my daughter and it turned her hair dark auburn red. There isn’t even a hint of purple in this dye it’s only red. I looked up results other people have had on TikTok and not one person’s hair turned out violet. This dye is totally misleading and it’s permanent. So we will have to bleach or color strip her hair to get it to the shade of purple she wanted. Which disappoints me so much because I have been using Garnier Nutrisse for two decades. I guess it’s time to find a different brand.

I have colored my hair for more than 30 yrs and this is by far my favorite!! Only a salon can beat it!! Have had so many compliments on the shade; always use similar colors but Cherry Flamingo always gets the love . Loyal to to this brand in all areas of hair care. Love love love it!!!!
