About This Shade
Garnier Nutrisse shade 30 Darkest Brown (Sweet Cola) is a permanent darkest brown hair color with neutral, natural tones for a rich, deep brown result and 100% gray coverage. On very light hair, this shade can read nearly black; on dark brown to black hair, it refreshes depth and blends grays without lifting to a lighter level.
Is This Shade Right For Me?
Shade 30 is best if your natural hair is between light brown and black. If you want a lighter result that still looks natural, try Dark Brown 40 (Dark Chocolate). Prefer warmth (a warm brown or chestnut brown look)? Shade 33 Darkest Golden Brown (Caramel Fudge) adds golden warmth. If your hair is previously colored Soft Black 20 (Black Tea) or darker, we don’t recommend shade 30. For red toned alternatives like dark copper hair color or burgundy brown hair color—and personalized matches—use our Shade Selector Tool.
For anyone who currently has color treated hair, there are special considerations for the color result you can achieve. We do not recommend shade 30 for hair that has been previously colored Soft Black 20 (Black Tea) or darker. For more help, use our Shade Selector Tool to find the shade for you!

What color result does the Darkest Brown shade provide?
Garnier Nutrisse shade 30, Darkest Brown (Sweet Cola), delivers a rich, natural, deep brown shade with natural tones. This formula also provides 100% gray coverage.
Can I use this shade if my hair is already colored?
Yes, if your hair is currently colored a brunette shade, you can use shade 30 Darkest Brown (Sweet Cola). Follow the insert for coloring your hair darker. We do not recommend shade 30 for hair that has been previously colored with any brand of soft black of darker, as hair color cannot lighten previously colored hair.

How do I use the fruit oil ampoule included in the box?
The kit comes with a fruit oil ampoule that you pour directly into the color mixture before application. This helps the permanent color nourish your hair as it colors.
What items are included in the package?
The hair color kit includes everything you need: nourishing color crème, crème developer, fruit oil ampoule, silicone-free after-color conditioner, the instruction sheet, and gloves.

Itching is out of control! Dont buy!
Horrible experience. Ive used Garnier in the past but this time mademy scalp itch nonstop. Its now day 3 and cant stop scratching my scalp. Never had this happen with any other brand. So uncomfortable. Will have to go to doctor. Never again. They mustve changed their formula. Also, while color is changing you get scared its not gonna turn out right because it turns green. Color was blah! John Frieda mousse hair dye is amazing! Skip this one! Soo many better brands! out there!
No, I do not recommend this product.

Garnier
Hi Evilheffer, We apologize you were not satisfied with the results you achieved with Nutrisse Darkest Brown. We know how disappointing it can be to look forward to a new application of color only to find that your results are not what you expected.
There are many reasons why haircolor results can come out too dark. Once you have color-treated hair, we suggest following the touch up application method to achieve optimal results. Otherwise, by doing repeat full head applications, due to the hair's porosity, you are left with a haircolor result that is much darker than what you intended.
If you have any additional questions or would like to speak with one of our haircolor experts directly, please reach back out!

Moisturizing and gorgeous color!

I’ve had my hair colored a lot over the past 5 years since I started getting gray hair. My hair always feels so dry for weeks after. I switched to this and my hair is so much softer than after my Salon Color Treatments. Also, this is my favorite color because it brings out my light auburn hues in my hair. I actually buy this color and have my stylist put it in.
The 40 dark brown LIGHTENED my hair. It made my roots become golden blonde. I thought that I got a bad box, so I bought another. The same thing happened. I was suspicious when the color in the cup didn't turn dark upon oxygenating, but I used it anyway. Why Is there lightener in a dark brown 40? I didn't keep my receipts as hair dye isn't returnable. These dark brown 40 boxes are all incorrectly labeled, or your formula is bad.

Very happy with results
Loved the color. My natural color is clear silver meaning the hair shaft is almost transparent. Been coloring my hair for years and tried 50- medium natural brown nutrisse for the 1st time. I wanted a natural med brown and thats what i got Have washed 3 times so far and it has gotten slightly lighter but it is still natural looking med brown. I did wash my hair right after i used the dye that may have removed some of the darkness but i am very satified with the product. Will be trying Olia med next because my hair is on the dry side.
I had purchased this with high hopes to cover my stray gray and it was a match to my hair color and now I currently have red tinted roots and fades into darker hues of red 😦😣🥺 I absolutely don't like it and don't know how to fix it and I cannot afford a real deal just awful
Hi Magravy, We are sorry to hear about your experience regarding Nutrisse 60 - Light Natural Brown. We would like to help! Please call Garnier @ 800-442-7643 M-F 9:00am-5:30pm ET., and provide case #43706677. We look forward to your call!
A: Hi Spooky1226, Thanks for reaching out! Yes, a light ash brown hair color can neutralize unwanted red tones in color-treated hair, however if the red shade was darker it may not reduce enough of the red. To better assist you please call us @ Garnier 800-442-7643 M-F 9:00am - 5:30pm ET, and provide case @ 45875545. We look forward to your call!

Q: I want someone to tell all of us why the formula was changed. According to who I spoke with it has always been vegan, but no one that loved the old formula cared anyway. THe new formula is horrible, inconsistent, fades, and we all want to one back, Please
A: Hi Debrose, Thanks for reaching out! Yes mixing hair dyes can create unique shades of color. However, it's generally recommended to stick to the same brand. We hope you find your suitable shade! Thanks for your interest in Garnier!

Q: Why did you change the #50? I hate red! Natural brown should not have any red in it. Red is next to impossible yo get rid of. It will take forever to grow this shade out. Not soft and silky anymore either. When a color is perfect, what screw it up?
A: Hi Mysamba. Thank you for reaching out to Garnier regarding the Nutrisse, shade #50, medium natural brown. There could be many reasons why your color results are different from what you had hoped. All hair darker than a natural platinum blonde has red, orange and gold tones, though you may not see those colors until you try to lighten the hair. We'd like to help and speak to you directly to assess your individual situation. Please call us at 800-442-7643 , M-F, 9am - 5:30pm, ET. It would be helpful if you could provide the advisor answering your call with the case #41161000. So that we can help you most effectively, if possible, please have the product with you when you call. We look forward to hearing from you.

Q: why did they change the formula? THe new one made my long hair so dry I just had to cut off 6 inches, I found a box of the old formula thankfully, and my hair is almost back to normal, Please listen to everyone and bring back the original formula,

Q: Is it normal for it to turn green after mixing?
A: Hio Evy7! Thank you for your interest in Nutrisse Ultra Crème. We are sorry to hear that the color of our Nutrisse Ultra Crème mixture was different than expected. It is not unusual for the mixture to change color, or looks more vibrant in the bottle during application. This is not indicative of your final color results. If you need further assistance, please reach out to us at the 800 number on the box.

Q: Have been using light golden brown for years…my natural hair color is becoming more gray. Should using dark blond 73 be a better option to use as one ages?
A: Hi Sunnygirl2! Thank you for your interest in Nutrisse Ultra Creme. It is a personal choice to go from a light golden brown to a dark golden blonde. We recommend one to two shades lighter than your natural color.
