About Olia Unlike traditional hair dye, Olia uses a 60% oil blend with no ammonia natural flower oils to achieve brilliant, radiant color results. The oil powered technology propels colorants deep into the hair, giving you vivid, long-lasting color. Olia visibly improves and restores hair as the oils help to reverse roughness and dullness for more brilliant, long-lasting color. Olia-treated hair is hydrated, silky and up to 3X shinier than unwashed, uncolored hair.

Hi Dach3224! Thank you for taking the opportunity to try Olia, 8.22-Medium Rose Gold. We appreciate you sharing the hair color you applied this to, and that you did not get the vibrant color results you expected. This shade is recommended for natural hair that is light brown to light blonde. A level 10 bleached hair is far too light to achieve the results. We appreciate your feedback and will be sharing it with others in our company.

So sad this is no longer available
I used this Medium Royal Amethyst for the last 5 years and constantly got compliments from strangers wherever I went. It goes on dark but fades to the perfect shade of purple after a week or so and I absolutely loved it. It seems to have been discontinued and I cannot find a replacement I like as much. I contacted Garnier about a year ago and they told me it wasn't discontinued, just not available at that time...I am still waiting.
It's easy to apply, has excellent gray coverage, and brings such shine to my hair. It immediately softened my face with just a touch of pink. Reminds me of a pink champagne. I always used champagne in the past. I love the pink touch and other products made the pink way too dark and too obvious. I'm going to purchase this and mix it with the rose gold quartz because both colors are beautiful and the quartz seems a bit darker than I like, but mixing it with the medium rose gold just for kicks. At any rate, it's my favorite product ever!
it looked pretty nice, bu i wasnt expecting it to lighten my hair, because it said no bleaching. i am curious as to what lightens the hair then? ,y hair is a natural medium brown/auburn colr and it lightened my hair about two shades. very little pink hue though.
I absolutely love this! can't believe I had such a great result spending so little ( less than $10)
I had about 10 inches of natural hair without any chemicals and then the rest was bleached (very blond). the bleached part looks amazing! the color is very intense. the natural portion of my hair didnt take the "pink" color but still I love the results!!!
Q: Hello! I’m just wondering what developer strength does this product comes with?

Q: My hair is currently lightened to level 8-9. I would like to blend the blonde and the red, will this color work well on already bleached hair?

A: Hi Anne3618! Thank you for your interest in Olia, 7.45-Dark Fire Ruby. To achieve this color result, your hair must be naturally medium brown, light brown, dark blonde or medium blonde. Bleached hair will not achieve the desired result. You can mix two shades; however, your color results will vary, and red fades quickly when used over bleached hair!

Q: As a child I had copper bright red hair like this color but as i got older my hair is more or a light/medium brownish auburn. I want my hair back to this copper color, so do I need to lighten/bleach hair before using this dye to achieve my desired color?

A: Hi Eve21, Yes you can use Olia 7.45 over bleached hair, however a strand test is suggested before you commit to coloring your whole head of hair. Thanks for your interest in Garnier!

Q: why has my hair color starting to fade within one wash
A: Hi poochi! Thank you for sharing that Olia Bold, 10.11-Lightest Silver Blonde, is starting to fade after one wash. Exposure to sun, pollution, salt-water, chlorine treated pools, permanent waves, blow-drying, hair straighteners, and frequent shampoos can cause artificial color to fade.
It may be necessary for you to apply your haircolor every three to four weeks to maintain the desired shade. Apply the color to your hair following the instructions for a touch-up application. This is important because if the haircolor mixture is always applied to the whole head for the full processing time, the hair that has been lightened will become over-lightened, which will also cause fading.

Q: Would this be able to go over a faded dark blue color to tone it and get it back to brown? Also if I added a red booster in it would it results in a reddish brown afterwards instead of a normal brown?

1 AnswerAnswer this Question
A: Hi there! We do not recommend mixing shades of our 7.45 - Dark Fire Ruby. Many of ourvibrant shades are not recommended to tone down blue hair as the gray may see a more vibrant result than the rest of the hair. For the best haircolor advice, please call us at us @800-4GARNIER M-F 9:00 am – 5:30 pm ET and give the reference number 22010634. We look forward to speaking with you!
