About Olia
Unlike traditional hair dye, Olia uses a 60% oil blend with no ammonia natural flower oils to achieve brilliant, radiant color results. The oil-powered technology propels colorants deep within the hair, giving you vivid, long-lasting color. Olia visibly improves and restores hair as the oils help to reverse roughness and dullness for more brilliant, long-lasting color. Olia-treated hair is hydrated, silky, and up to 3X shinier than unwashed, uncolored hair.

How is Olia different than Nutrisse and other at-home hair coloring kits?
Olia is formulated with no ammonia and 60% oils that are concentrated in the colorant itself to boost the coloring process by propelling color deep into the hair fiber. The oil-based formula prevents damage and leaves hair visibly healthier looking and 3x shinier. Nutrisse is formulated with a blend of five fruit oils resulting in a rich color while nourishing your hair.
Is Olia less effective than a hair color with ammonia?
No, even though Olia does not contain ammonia, it's just as effective as other hair colors that have ammonia. Olia is formulated with 60% oils for 3x shinier, visibly healthier looking hair.
How long will Olia's hair color last before fading?
Olia is a permanent hair color, lasting until your hair grows out or is cut. However, like all permanent colors, it will gradually fade with washing and as new hair grows.
How much product should I use?
The amount of product needed depends on hair length and thickness. It's recommended to purchase more than one kit, especially if it is your first time dying your hair.
How long should I wait between washing my hair and applying hair dye?
For optimal results, we recommend waiting at least 24 hours to dye your hair after shampooing. This will help to prevent any potential reactions on the scalp after hair color application.
Does hair dye expire?
Garnier hair color is tested to be effective for up to three years. If the product mixture isn't runny or lumpy, it is still good to use.
How To Get Dark Rose Quartz Hair Color?
Want to dazzle with the perfect dark rose quartz hair color? Powered with flower oils and free from ammonia, Garnier's Olia 7.20 Dark Rose Quartz Hair Color, at-home dye kit contains everything you need to get vibrant long-lasting color by infusing color deep within the hair.
How Long Does Dark Rose Quartz Hair Color Last?
Olia Dark Rose Quartz Hair Color is a permanent hair dye meaning that it will last until your hair grows out or is cut. However, like all permanent colors, it will gradually fade with washing, heat styling, as well as exposure to the sun and chlorinated water. To help extend the life of your dark rose quartz hair color and keep it looking vibrant, always use a color shield shampoo.
What Color is Dark Rose Quartz Hair?
Olia’s dark rose quartz hair color is a rich shade of pink infused with intense rose and iridescent reflects, inspired by the beautiful semi-precious gemstone of the same name. Because the resulting shade will depend on your current hair color, we always recommend performing a strand test to preview the final color.
Is Olia Dark Rose Quartz Safe for All Hair Types?
Because Olia’s dark rose quartz hair color is oil-powered and ammonia-free, it is safe to use on all hair textures — straight, wavy, curly, or coily hair. Keep your hair nourished, and lock in color for longer with deep conditioners and masks.
Do I Need To Bleach My Hair Before Using Olia Dark Rose Quartz Hair Color?
Pre-bleaching your hair to obtain dark rose quartz hair is usually unnecessary if your current hair color is medium blonde to medium brown. If your hair is bleached (or very light) or dark, you might want to consider another hair shade from the Olia range. In any case, we always recommend performing a strand test to preview results.
How Do I Maintain My Dark Rose Quartz Hair Color?
To maintain your dark rose quartz hair color and keep fading down to a minimum, we suggest using color-safe shampoos and conditioners. Also, try to limit how often you shampoo your hair, and turn the temperature down as hot water opens the hair cuticle, causing color to fade more quickly. And if you’re going to be out in the sun all day, consider pinning up your hair, or covering your locks with a hat or scarf to keep your dark rose quartz hair color in the pink!

Once I found Olia I never looked back. I've been using light intense auburn for a year now and I'm in love. It leaves my hair soft and shiny and doesn't damage my hair. It also doesn't reek of chemicals. And a huge bonus is the bottles are larger than most store brand colors. I used to have to buy 4 boxes of other brands and with this I buy 2 (I have long and thick hair). As long as they make this I'll use it!

I tried Olia with pretty high hopes because I am a fan of your nutrisse products. I chose light intense auburn which is a color similar to what I normally choose in nutrisse.
First, the pros: I covered my entire head (untreated with color) with no problems, as I have been coloring my own hair for years. The smell of the dye was great and didn't burn my eyes in the process. It also took only one coloring kit to cover my whole head of long hair, when usually I need two!
Now the cons: When it came to discovering the color after rinsing it out, I was shocked. It was far from the color on the box and it did not take in several spots, even though I thoroughly applied it everywhere. The color washed out of my hairline and there were patches of my natural color and a mix of my natural and the Olia color spread all throughout my hair. It was very disappointing and I do not want to ruin my hair so I have to just wait this one out. Another drawback is that even after 6 separate washings with harsh shampoo it was still bleeding out bright red in the shower and it hardly faded even with dawn. It made me really sad, so needless to say I will be going back to using the nutrisse system.

Disappointed with How Quickly Color Fades
a month ago
We bleached my daughter’s hair the day before using Garnier Olia Bonding Care Bleach Kit, which we were satisfied with. The issue is the color dye. It looks great the first day or two, then starts to fade at an alarming rate. We used hair dye Garnier Olia Oil-Powered Permanent Color. When showering, she uses Garnier Color Shield Anti-Fade Shampoo and Conditioner and she’s managing the water temperature so only cold water touches her hair. I’ve never seen hair color fade this fast. My daughter and I are very disappointed and would not recommend. We are looking at other brands.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Medium Rose Gold
I find the color is subtle and has a shine that doesn't wash out
Hi Dach3224! Thank you for taking the opportunity to try Olia, 8.22-Medium Rose Gold. We appreciate you sharing the hair color you applied this to, and that you did not get the vibrant color results you expected. This shade is recommended for natural hair that is light brown to light blonde. A level 10 bleached hair is far too light to achieve the results. We appreciate your feedback and will be sharing it with others in our company.

So sad this is no longer available
I used this Medium Royal Amethyst for the last 5 years and constantly got compliments from strangers wherever I went. It goes on dark but fades to the perfect shade of purple after a week or so and I absolutely loved it. It seems to have been discontinued and I cannot find a replacement I like as much. I contacted Garnier about a year ago and they told me it wasn't discontinued, just not available at that time...I am still waiting.
It's easy to apply, has excellent gray coverage, and brings such shine to my hair. It immediately softened my face with just a touch of pink. Reminds me of a pink champagne. I always used champagne in the past. I love the pink touch and other products made the pink way too dark and too obvious. I'm going to purchase this and mix it with the rose gold quartz because both colors are beautiful and the quartz seems a bit darker than I like, but mixing it with the medium rose gold just for kicks. At any rate, it's my favorite product ever!
it looked pretty nice, bu i wasnt expecting it to lighten my hair, because it said no bleaching. i am curious as to what lightens the hair then? ,y hair is a natural medium brown/auburn colr and it lightened my hair about two shades. very little pink hue though.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Love this color!
Love this color! Please bring it back! It’s the only color I use!
A: Hi Anne3618! Thank you for your interest in Olia, 7.45-Dark Fire Ruby. To achieve this color result, your hair must be naturally medium brown, light brown, dark blonde or medium blonde. Bleached hair will not achieve the desired result. You can mix two shades; however, your color results will vary, and red fades quickly when used over bleached hair!

Q: I'm almost 100% Silvery grey will this be a good option for me or do I have to bleach first?
A: Hello BP88 ! Thank you for your interest in using 7.45 - Dark Fire Ruby . This color is best for anyone with natural hair between medium blonde and brown. On lighter hair or sliver gray, the results will be more intense and brighter. Definitely no need to bleach!

Q: why has my hair color starting to fade within one wash
A: Hi poochi! Thank you for sharing that Olia Bold, 10.11-Lightest Silver Blonde, is starting to fade after one wash. Exposure to sun, pollution, salt-water, chlorine treated pools, permanent waves, blow-drying, hair straighteners, and frequent shampoos can cause artificial color to fade.
It may be necessary for you to apply your haircolor every three to four weeks to maintain the desired shade. Apply the color to your hair following the instructions for a touch-up application. This is important because if the haircolor mixture is always applied to the whole head for the full processing time, the hair that has been lightened will become over-lightened, which will also cause fading.

Q: Would this be able to go over a faded dark blue color to tone it and get it back to brown? Also if I added a red booster in it would it results in a reddish brown afterwards instead of a normal brown?
A: Hi there! We do not recommend mixing shades of our 7.45 - Dark Fire Ruby. Many of ourvibrant shades are not recommended to tone down blue hair as the gray may see a more vibrant result than the rest of the hair.
