Great hold, silky soft hair

I have dry frizzy hair and it needs control. I also don't like to spend a lot of time on my hair, wash, gel, go is my routine. I love that this new product has no chemicals to seep through your skin, it smells great and the hold is really great, not sticky or eye poke out stiff. It also seems to help moisturize my hair, it makes it soft and silky.

Like another reviewer, I signed up solely to offer feedback on this product. I was so happy to find a naturally-derived gel, but I believe you should go back to the drawing board with this one. It dries with an unappealing gummy feel and residue; it leaves my hair dull and limp. Frankly, it's one of the worst hair-styling products I've tried. Garnier usually does much better! Wasted my $s!

Miss previous gel version

I was disappointed to see that it upgraded, I really liked the older version of the gel, the one without the aloe. It was like my all time favorite gel. I bought and tried the newer version, the new one with aloe and it doesnt have the same hold that I was accustomed to that the older version had. There are no stores around where I live that has the older version. I had to go to Ebay to find, and I got 4 of them.

Left my hair feeling sticky, matted and dirty feeling. I have fine straight hair and blow dry it with gel to add body. This the worst, and the only completely unacceptable, produce I have ever used. I have to rewash my hair after using it.

Sad to see so many poor reviews about the strong hold and trying to brush hair with gel in it *confused look.* Girl, kindly, wash your hair :)
Pros/Cons:
Okay so I have 4a-4b low-med density hair fine hair and the first time I used this product, although I loved the scent and the slippery consistency made application a BREEZE, once dried it did make my hair VERY firm and when I tried to manipulate my hair I could feel tension on my scalp and breakage. It did elongate my curls and I got compliments on how it looked longer & very nice.
My solution:
I decided to add a healthy amount of avocado butter (oil would work too) to my hair with the gel application. This solved the issue! I had all the slip, all the definition, and my hair was flexible and softer than using the gel alone. The strong hold keeps my curls from tangling during the week so it prevents hair loss and detangling in the shower is MUCH easier than after using a leave-in conditioner. My only complaint is I wish the size was bigger for the price.
Moral of the story: don't bash a product bc it doesn't work for your hair type or application/removal method. For some of us it is perfect!

Bring back Super Stiff

Garnier says this is better than Super Stiff, but this is weak sauce. Hold is a 3 instead of 4. Judging by reviews of Super Stiff, people obviously liked it better than this. Maybe this is good for people looking for this type of hold, but it's definitely not comparable.

I use only a small amount of gel on damp hair, style and let dry. Later on or next day when I go to brush through my hair I absolutely CANNOT get the brush or comb through my hair. My hair practically gets ripped out trying to brush or comb through it. This is the second time I tried using the gel (bought a second tube thinking maybe the first one was faulty) and had the same result. I've never used anything else that solidified my hair so bad I couldn't comb through it. I had to wash my hair to get it out rather than risk ripping out my hair. I do love the smell though.

This is the worst. Bought this for my sons hair and literally didnt even spike his hair it just made it greasy. The price was great but wasted the whole container since we only used it once. Would not repurchase.

I pretty much use hair gel everyday to tame my baby hairs. I saw this one at Walmart for a pretty good price, so I decided to try it out. My first impression of it wasnt the greatest, I thought it had more of a watery consistency compared to other hair gels Ive used. I think that because of the consistency it doesnt really hold the hair in place all day long. I find that I have to use a lot of the product in order for it to work properly hence, one bottle doesnt really last very long. It does have a little bit of a sticky feeling but its not as bad compared to other gels. I definitely will not repurchase this in the future.

I have natural hair and this gel gives a great firm hold. It will keep my curls all week. My only complaint is It is not very moisturizing so I will have too add another moisturizing product under it to keep my hair from being too crunchy. But other than that I like the gel. And its super affordable.

The hold is alright, hair looses its hold after several hours. It also leaves hair crunchy feeling after drying, but thats to be expected when it comes to most gels.

This was the first and only hair gel that I tried that was, Silicone and Paraben free and I love the light clean smell it has. P,S,A a little does the job.

Works well and keeps my hair in place when I dont want stray hairs sticking up all over my head. Isnt too heavy and I dont need a lot of it. I recommend this and will repurchase.

I really like this gel! I do a lot of hairstyling for rockabilly photoshoots, and I have found that those hair styles require some extra extra firm hold for them to hold their structure. It's not my favorite product for this, I usually use a pomade, but it works very very well.

I have curly hair and it doesnt dry out your hair after you wash it out. Some gels i feel do dry out your hair after your wash it out.

I like the products they have a great smell a great variety and the prices are pretty good I would definitely recommend it and I would definitely use it on a regular basis and its not too heavy on your hair I have pretty in between fine and thick hair and it works pretty good for me so I would definitely recommend it

This gel has good old and is easy to apply but it makes my hands super sticky. I dont tend to touch my hair after styling but I noticed that my hair feel stickier when I use this hair gel

I don't use this all the time, however, I do like the hold it has in my thick curly hair. You kust need to make sure that you don't put too much in your hair or or will go hard.

I did not enjoy this product. There were multiple reasons of why. Comparing it to others it did not do well. To improve this product they would need to reduce the residue it leaves in your hair and how flaky it is.

I love this gel so much. It smells amazing, washes out easily, and holds styles for 24 hours, just like it says on the bottle! I recommend this to all my curly-haired friends, especially in the winter to protect from frizz and dryness. Its my favorite!

I really like this gel when I am going for natural curl definition. I use a lot of it when my hair is soaking wet and then wrap it in a t-shirt on top of my head for a while. Then shake it out but NEVER comb through. When dry I scrunch the crunch and BAM beautiful soft curls that you would never guess that I used gel.
