Is Shade 76 (Hot Tamale) right for you?
Garnier Nutrisse Rich Auburn Blonde 76 (Hot Tamale) is our lightest red shade--a vibrant auburn. The tone is more red than copper and will provide 100% gray coverage. This shade is best for anyone with natural hair between light blonde and medium brown.

For other red shades, try shade 66 (Pomegranate) or 56 (Sangria). If you would like to remain in the dark blonde range but would like to explore other reflects and tones, there are many other shades to choose from including 70, 72, 73, and 74.

*For women with currently color treated hair, there are special considerations for the color result you can achieve. Because of this, we do not recommend shade 76 (Hot Tamale) for hair that has been previously colored Medium Natural Brown 50 (Truffle) or darker. For more help, use our Shade Selector Tool to find the perfect shade for you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I can’t believe it’s discontinued! ‘Hot Tamale’ has been my color for years! Nothing else compares to it (your #66 pomegranate is a poor replacement...not even close!) You really need to bring it back...please!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BRING IT BACK PLEASE!!!!! There is absolutely NO replacement for this color. Please bring this back, as I hate the other red you are suggesting. It's darker than Hot Tamale and it turns all my towels red out of the shower. Why would you discontinue such an amazing color that clearly people were buying!! It made you stand out as a brand on the shelf because it was so different.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why discontinue? Please explain why this shade was discontinued? It makes absolutely no sense, I have been using this shade for years and feel totally disregarded. The shade recommended is no where near this color, please bring it back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bring 76 back PLEASE!! Using any other color is depressing, nothing compared. I see photos of myself with this color and it made me feel vibrant and HAPPY!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from How could and why would you discontinue 76? Please tell me you at least have a legitimate reason for discontinuing #76 and that you're not just doing it to torture me. I am so frustrated! It took me forever to find just the right shade of red for my hair. I used to have to mix 2 different shades from the beauty supply store and it still wasn't quite right. Then one day i was dyeing my niece hair with #76 and I loved it it was the color I had been looking for/ tried to achieve for years. But would it come out the same color on my hair was the question (my niece is a natural red head and mine is naturally dark brown)? So I tried it and that was it, finally after all these years! I finally found my perfect shade! Only to have you rip it off the shelves 2 months later. So I read the recommendations you made to other upset customers #66 and when i held the box up to my hair it looked the same color. So I tried it. Now I know it's not going to come out the exact color as the box for many reasons, but I do expect it to be similar. My hair came out DARK burgundy brown. #66 is supposed to be true red so why the freak is my hair so dark burgundy! I AM NOT HAPPY!!! I hate my hair this color with my skin tone it makes me look pasty. PLEASE STOP TORTURING ME and bring back 76 please!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BRING IT BACK I WANT MY HAIRCOLOR BACK. I have used this shade for over a DECADE, and NO, nothing you or anyone else offer now is 'better,' so don't tell me it is. You've changed my entire body image against my will. BRING IT BACK.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BRING #69 BACK - PLEASE!!!! I have been using this color for over 10 years and never once have I left the house without receiving at least one compliment on my hair color. Now it’s discontinued. It’s unclear as to why you would just continue a shade that so many women obviously love. you’re recommending an alternate shade. But if you look at the reviews, you’ll notice all the five star Reviews for shade 69 and I’ll have three star reviews for the new alternate color that Garnier is recommending reviews for shade 69 and all three star reviews for the new alternate color that Garnier is recommending. Please bring it back!!!!!!!
