643 - Light Natural Copper

Is Shade 643 right for you?
Garnier Nutrisse shade 643, "Light Natural Copper," is not too red, but is warmer than a light golden brown and has copper reflects. It provides 100% gray coverage and is best for anyone with natural hair between medium blonde and dark brown.

For other options with similar tones, explore our "Copper" range including shades 54 and 74. If you would like to remain in the light brown range but would like to try other reflects and tones, there are many shades to choose from including 60, 61, 63, 66, and 69.

*For women with currently color treated hair, there are special considerations for the color result you can achieve. Because of this, we do not recommend shade 643 for hair that has been previously colored shade 40, "Dark Brown," or darker. For more help, use our Shade Selector Tool to find the perfect shade for you!

How to use:

2) Apply to dry, unwashed hair.
3) Apply gloves, squeeze colorant (B) into developer bottle (A).
4) Break off the tip and shake the bottle vigorously.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Turned out darker than expected I have been using the Garnier Nutrisse brand for along time to color my hair at home. Usually the color is exact and leaves my hair in excellent condition. I have wanted to try a red/copper shade for a long time. My natural color is dark blonde, and I usually dye it light blonde or golden blonde. My hair turned out much darker than what was on the box. I have tried the apricot color but it was too light. My hair is more reddish-brown than copper. I'm really disappointed and not sure what to do now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Much better than expected Firstly I never color my own hair, but, had to get tough during this time of closed salons, I am happy with this color I chose, but, I wimped out and took it off too soon, therefore my roots could have taken more color, I will wait a month and retry it, just using on roots and not pull thru till very end, very good condition as well, I am kind of shocked at how good it looks, thanks, ps I have never colored my own hair, always at a salon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The color of my youth I'm impressed. Frankly I was really nervous to try this and would not have if it were not for COVID 19. I am 50+ years old and a natural redhead. This is the color of my youth. It is not blue, pink or merlot. I left it on longer than the rec as any natural redhead will tell you our hair is color resistant. This covered my gray, looks like a true natural red and is really shiny. I have no idea how long it will last or how soon I will need to recolor but will use it again as it was really easy and does not smell terrible. Thanks so much Garnier!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible Did it turn out Light? No Did it turn out copper? Also No Did it turn out anything close to the box color according to my hair color? Lol Not even close! I am so dissapointed I want to cry. I waited a year and a half to two years for my natural hair to grow in to start coloring it again. I picked through dozens of different colors and brands and decided I loved the color this box claimed it was an picked it. My hair color is medium light brown with natural blonde and reddish highlights. I usually used box dyes in my 30+yrs of dying hair and have never had one turn out so unlike it's claim. All the dye did was turn my natural color to a darker mouse-ier ugly brown!! Almost zero red or copper tone!! I had more with my natural color!! And after waiting almost two years this is extremely disappointing!! How is my hair darker!?!? Why is there almost no copper color!?! I didn't expect exactly like the side of the box claimed that went with my hair color but if I wanted brown I wouldn't be dying my hair!! I really wish I had read some of these reviews before. I am devastated, now I have to wait for it to grow out again!! I was so excited. Ok, now I actually am in tears. Shame on you Garnier. Apparently people have been telling you this for awhile and you haven't fixed your product. Hopefully others will read this before choosing this color and won't get stuck with a horrible brown too. My hair grows so slow, this is going to take forever to grow out again. I can't stress enough in this review, it is Not going to be a variation of a redhead color it will give you brown hair period. Maybe a glimpse of a pink or red in correct light? Nothing like the box advertises!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible hair day I just bought light copper hair dye today, so I decided to take a leap of faith to dye my blonde hair, when I was done I noticed my hair looked darker than it should, it looked more brown then light copper, I'm very disappointed in this product and hope that they can make the product true to what is being stated on the box.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from not quite right I"m a natural redhead but my hair is getting to be the color of wheat; don't like so I"m trying to find a color close to a color that Garnier use to have which was called Apricot #94 Light Reddish Blonde. none of your Red colors comes close. Please bring back the Apricot or at least something red that looks natural not all these burgundy colors.
