After washing with Sleek & Shine Shampoo and Conditioner, prepare hair for styling with the Garnier Sleek & Stay hair smoothing serum.

Step 1: Shake & Apply
Shake well, then apply the heat-activated serum to damp hair, distributing evenly from mid-lengths to ends. Use 1 pump for fine/short hair, 2 pumps for medium hair, and 3–4 pumps for long or thick hair. Focus on mid-lengths to ends; avoid roots.

Step 2: Leave In
Do not rinse. Allow this Garnier Fructis leave-in treatment to coat strands for smoother, shinier hair.

Step 3: Activate With Heat
Blow-dry until hair is fully dry to activate the smoothing technology, then flat-iron as needed (up to 450°F) to seal in sleekness. Air-drying will not activate the serum.
Comb through with a wide-tooth comb after application to distribute the serum evenly.

I have curly hair and live in Florida. This made my hair sleek, shiny, and kept the frizz away. I even worked out and my hair remained sleek. I would recommend this product and now I want to try the entire sleek and shine line.

New bottle smells VERY OFF

I have type 2-C/ 3-A hair that I regularly style straight with a hair dryer, and have done so since 1973, so I have some experience with hair-care products. I will admit this serum works just as advertised, and keeps blowout hair incredibly sleek in our high-humidity climate, and it also has a bonus of "scrunching out the crunch" of my wavy hair, without heat. So I was appalled when I quickly used this as I was about to run to a medical appointment, when I kept smelling what to me like a burnt chemical smell mixed with "soon-to-be-off" seafood, and I am being kind. I was baffled where the smell was coming from on the way to the appointment, and then, as I was lying on the table for a CT Scan, I realized it was my hair. When I got home, I opened the top of the bottle and confirmed that the smell was indeed coming from the product. I purchased my Gructis Sleek & Stay from Walgreens approximately 1 month ago. I did not save my receipt because I was thrilled with the product, and now I can't return this bottle, nor do I want to use it. I honestly would have given the serum 5 stars, except applying something that smells this rancid to freshly washed hair is just not going to happen.

No, I do not recommend this product.

GREASY!!!

This product did not work as described, did not add shine, and it is so greasy that I had to wash my hands with soap three times to get it off of my skin.

Nasty stinky serum

I have curly hair and don't straighten my hair that much but have used heat protectant before.. Last week I opened the bottle of Garnier Sleek & Stay Heat-Activated Serum and it had some really nasty odor.. It smelled disgusting i haven't even had it for a year.. Of money 💰

SO VERY GREASY!

I had hoped this product would work to calm my hair down and give it a sleek, shiny appearance. O My Goodness. I sprayed this product on in short spurts around my head and worked it through my hair from root to tips and dried with a blow dryer. My hair looked like I used a quarter bottle of olive oil! So greasy looking. I will have to wash my hair again but the bottle says it lasts for 5 hair washes. O dang! Maybe I used too much! I might try it again (if I can get it washed out) and just spray my hair brush. But spraying it on my hair in short spurts is a no go for me! You will have to wash your hands after working this product through your hair. I did not and I could hardly hold on to my hair dyer because of the greasy feel. From reading the ingredients, I can't tell if the chemical-sounding names are oily type products! But if using just a spurt on my hair brush doesn't work, this product is a no-go for me!

I like the spray I use it to slick back my hair for work or when my hand hair is oily and stuff so it’s really good. I feel like I can easily use it in a mini bottle for travel is really convenient and easy.

I have frizzy, curly, hard-to-manage hair. I've used all kinds of products without satisfaction. This product REALLY WORKS! I now enjoy smooth hair that requires much less styling. I can style once after washing, tie my hair up overnight, run my fingers through it in the morning and I'm good to go until the next wash. This product claims it can last through multiple washings and IT DOES!
