Key Ingredient
Coconut Oil
Hey there, beauty enthusiasts. Ready to unlock the timeless secret to luscious hair and supple skin? Say hello to Coconut Oil, a revered natural ingredient that has been cherished for centuries, particularly by communities in the South Pacific for its remarkable beautifying properties. This versatile powerhouse isn't just a kitchen staple; it's a deeply moisturizing and nourishing elixir for your beauty routine. At Garnier, we celebrate the wonders of nature, and coconut oil stands out as a key ingredient in our commitment to effective, natural beauty solutions.
Technique guide:
Use Rake-and-Shake to distribute product; try Plopping for 10–20 min to absorb moisture; allow to air-dry or diffuse on low heat.
The Curl Nourish technology in this conditioner for curly hair delivers the ideal balance of strength and frizz-free definition. Plant protein fortifies hair with nature’s building blocks while nourishing coconut oil softens and protects deep into the cortex. The result is penetrating hydration and long-lasting definition.
Curl Nourish Product Groups
Curl Nourish Care:Shampoo | Conditioner | Air Dry Butter Cream
→ Hydrates and softens curls with coconut oil and plant protein blend.
Wavy hair (2A–2C) benefits from a routine of Shampoo, Conditioner, Sculpt Cream Gel, and Multi-Use Oil. To keep waves from being weighed down, apply products in light amounts and use a diffuser while drying to create extra lift and volume at the roots.
Curly hair (3A–3C) requires moisture and hold, using Shampoo, Conditioner, Air Dry Butter Cream, and Scrunch Gel. For the best definition, "plop" your hair in a towel for 15 minutes after applying products, then gently scrunch the hair once it is fully dry to break the gel cast for soft, bouncy curls.
Coily hair (4A–4C) thrives on deep hydration by alternating between a Co-wash and Conditioner. Use the Knot Melter to detangle, followed by Air Dry Butter Cream and Multi-Use Oil to seal in moisture. To manage shrinkage, layer your leave-in products with oil and use an overnight braid-out technique to stretch and define the coils.

CHANGE OF FORMULA WITH NEW PACKAGING
Tessabelle

I really loved this conditioner when it was in the old packaging, it keep my curls defined and frizz-less without weighing down my thin hair.
Before, the conditioner claimed to have glycerin and 3 oils (coconut, jojoba, and macadamia) and claimed to give 3 days of hydration. Now, they’ve dropped the hydration claim down to 24 hours and they’ve also removed two of the three oils (jojoba and macadamia).
Immediately I could tell the difference, and now the conditioner isn’t hydrating enough to keep frizz away

Please don’t use this on your hair. If there’s one thing I could recommend spending a little extra on, it’s your hair care products. So many better options.

Curl type 3a-3b.
Don’t have much to say for the shampoo, tbh. Kinda felt like it dried out my hair but I know that couldn’t be true. It did feel like it did a good job of stripping my hair of oils, so I’m sure that’s good.
However, the conditioner. Wow. It’s great. Immediate softness and hydration. I was able to finally comb through my hair in the shower, within seconds of applying. With other conditioners it usually takes a couple minutes of rubbing to get the detangling effect that this conditioner does within seconds. Very impressed. Feels like it really does well in terms of moisturizing.
The smell is the standard ‘garnier’ tropical scent. Kind of wish they would have changed that up a bit. I don’t need a memory trip back to 2004 every time I’m getting ready for work. Hello ptsd. However, I guess the smell isn’t terrible so that’s a plus.
I will keep using these products for sure. Happy I was able to give them a try. This conditioner will be my go-to for sure.

My daughter tried many conditioners for curly hair, but this one really stands out. It leaves her curls soft, defined, and much less frizzy without weighing them down. And smells perfectly!

I really liked this conditioner for my curls. It made
my hair feel soft, hydrated, and much easier to
detangle. My curls looked more defined without
feeling heavy or greasy. It also smells really good and leaves my hair feeling fresh and smooth. Definitely a great option for dry or curly hair.

It feels lightweight but is still very moisturizing for my dry hair. Left my hair feeling tangle free and manageable. It did not weigh my hair down. The smell is light and pleasant
Q: When will you get rid of the drying alcohols, parabens, and SILICONES?! I want to use your brand but this will absolutely not help with curly hair. :(

A: Hi there! Its always a work in progress. While the Curl Nourish line has banished a lot of these ingredients, the Nourishing Treat + Coconut Extract shampoo and conditioner goes even further. And be sure to check out the Curl Treat Leave-in Styler to Shape Curls.

Q: Is this shampoo & the corresponding conditioner gluten free?
Danielle F5 years ago
1 AnswerAnswer this Question
A: Hi Danielle. Most ingredients derived from grain sources are highly refined and retain no traces of gluten proteins. For less refined ingredients from natural sources, Garnier has established strict limits on the level of potentially allergenic proteins.
Since individuals exhibit a wide range of sensitivities to these proteins, if you have any questions or concerns you should discuss with your medical care provider. All the ingredients we use in a product are listed on the package or the label of the product itself. The full list of ingredients can also be found on our webpages for both the shampoo and conditioner. Since some ingredients are known by more than one name, we use the standard industry FDA-recognized names. A review of the ingredients that are listed on all of our products or packages will alert you to the presence of this type of ingredient.
