6 years ago- A: One of the top ingredients listed is amodimethicone, which is a silicone that is chemically modified to stick to your hair. It is not water soluble, so no matter how much you rinse, you will have a hard time getting rid of that coating. This is the why these types of silicones are so controversial, because they cause buildup and weigh your hair down.
