Garnier Nutrisse shade 50 Medium Natural Brown (Truffle) is a neutral medium brown permanent at-home hair dye with no visible warm or cool reflects, designed to let your natural hair tones show through while delivering 100% gray coverage. It also provides 100% gray coverage.

Is This Shade Right For Me?
Shade 50 is best for natural hair from dark blonde to darkest brown. On light brown hair color, expect a soft, neutral medium brown; on darkest brown hair, expect tone-on-tone coverage rather than lightening. This is a permanent color, not a semi permanent hair color. If you prefer a lighter natural result, try Light Natural Brown 60 (Acorn). For one shade darker, try Dark Brown 40 (Dark Chocolate). To stay in the medium brown family with different reflects, consider 51 Medium Ash Brown (Cool Tea) for cool tones, 53 Medium Golden Brown (Chestnut) for warm golden tones, 535 Medium Golden Mahogany (Chocolate Caramel) for warm mahogany, or 56 Medium Reddish Brown (Sangria) for a red reflect.

For anyone who currently has color treated hair, there are special considerations for the color results you can achieve. Because of this, we do not recommend shade 50 for hair that has been previously colored Darkest Brown 30 (Sweet Cola) or darker. For more help, use our Shade Selector Tool to find the shade for you! For root touch-ups, apply to new growth first; refresh lengths only for the last minutes as directed. For resistant grays (e.g., temples), saturate thoroughly and process for the full time indicated in the insert.
