and doesn't make my short, pixie cut hair look like a helmet. I don't know about adding volume, but it works for my needs.

Had to stop using

I bought this a month ago. And while it did, for the most part, make my hair hold a decent volume, it was what it made my hair feel like when trying to wash it that made me have to switch back to my old tried and true hairspray. As soon as I started using this product, whenever I would go to wash my hair, even after shampooing and rinsing, my hair felt dry and impossible to comb through (even though I had just finished rinsing it). I tried switching my shampoo, I thought it might be my water becoming hard (but I ruled that out by using my friend’s shower and we’re both on city water) Only conditioner was semi saving it and even then my hair didn’t feel right. But I tested a theory and stopped using this hair spray for a couple days and washed my hair several times and now that I’ve gone back to my old hairspray and this product is now washed out of my hair, my hair is back to normal. Maybe it’s just a coincidence, but I highly doubt it.

First of all, I love the packaging the bright green bottle is very nice with the hot pink writing on it. An I really like the product it really helps volume and it doesn't have a bad smell.

It's hairspray

I enjoy the light scent of the hairspray. The product sprayed pretty consistently thru the nozzle. I agree that the product provides hold without the crunchy feeling. I do feel that it could have been a little stronger of a hold from this curly hair girl.

i have curly hair and when i straighten it it frizz right up but thanks to garnier fructis style it leaves my hair looking great and it doesn't leave my hair feeling or looking crazy. it also leaves ny curls looking good too

I think this hairspray is great.. it’s not a stiff hold (doesn’t make your hair crunchy), it’s just enough to hold the style and prevent the frizz and the smell is amazing!

Great Hair Spray!

I have very curly, sometimes hard to manage hair. This product was amazing!! And even more perfect that I tried this in a more humid environment and had excellent results. The hairspray hardened but not so much so you could tell it was there ( I don't like when my hair dries and still looks wet due to the hairspray). This product is easy to use, and stays put throughout the day. Another great perk, it's easy to wash out too. I've used products in the past where it feels like my hair is still hard or crunchy even after my shower, not with this! I'll def be purchasing this product again in the future!

Great, voluminous hairspray

I love the new Gariner Volume hairspray! Not only does it smell great but it adds instant volume to your hair. I recommend following the directions and flipping your hair upside down to add more volume. I wash my hair twice a week, and this is a great pick me up during the mid-week when it starts to go flat. I highly recommend. Ans it smells great.

This product holds my hair, but yet it doesn't let it get stiff and sticky, as other hairsprays do! And it does not flake either when humidity settles on it! And best of all, it smells great! It clearly is the best hairspray to use for the best results! I RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!

I don't like the other products that are on the shelf. It doesn't give my hair the "natural" effect after blow drying and using the gum.... It's sticky and just doesn't work.... WHY does everyone get rid of the product that works the best for thin straight do nothing hair!!! Gosh - put it back on the market and in the stores please

Good Hold, Still Frizzy

I tried this hairspray for a week when I was curling my hair. It was very easy to work with, and I loved how it didn't make my hair feel sticky or leave buildup like some other hairsprays do. It was slightly scented, which I don't prefer, but I didn't mind the scent.
Overall the hold was good-- my hair held well over the course of the days.
My main negative was this hairspray says 'anti humidty protection', however my hair definitely got frizzy throughout the day, and I do not live in an area that is that humid.
Overall, this is a good hairspray for someone that doesn't have to worry about frizzy hair, but for anyone that does have to worry about frizz, this isn't for you.

It did alright but not so great. I wore my hair in three different styles for this hairspray. With all hairstyles it didn’t keep the humidity away as my hair still frizzed up. It ain’t awful hairspray but it didn’t work for my hair. My hair is very thick and curly. Although it did give my hair good volume and it smells really good! Another thing I did like about it was it didn’t make my hair feel really stiff and didn’t make it snap, crackle, and pop lol.

Great hold, doesn't smell bad

I was very pleased with the hold on this hairspray. It is humid in south Texas and usually, by the end of the night my curls fall and my hair poofs up. This hairspray actually made my curls stay all night. As for volume though, I wouldn't say this gave me any. It didn't flatten my hair with a crunchy shell though, which most hairsprays do. The smell was nice but not over powering, and went away very quickly. I appreciate that since I want to smell like my perfume, not hairspray. Over all I would highly recommend this hairspray for someone looking for strong hold without a crunchy or greasy film.

I think this is a great product that holds up to its description. I have long, thick, wavy hair that loses volume on top actually kept it's hold AND style. I wash my hair every 3 days and this kept it's light, not crunchy hold for 2/3! I'm pleasantly surprised since that rarely happens with any product. And i got more lift in my roots, great product!

The weather has been awful lately so it was the perfect time to test out a new hair spray. It had great hold all day even in the rain and humidity. The smell is great some hairsprays can be so overwhelming but this has a nice pleasant scent. I will definitely be recommending this hair spray to my friends and family.

I love everything about this hair spray. It really doesn't make your hair feel crunchy like other hairsprays do. And it even manages to hold fantastically, despite humidity, just like it says! It even smells so much better than most hairsprays! No stickiness either.

I think it's a good product but needs a stronger hold level. I spray it on my daughter's braids to help keep the frizz down. I love how the product doesn't have a normal sticky feeling to it like other hairsprays and gels and it doesn't leave any residue.

Finally, a good hairspray!

The Garnier Fructis Style Volume Hairspray checks off all my boxes when seeking a great hairspray. It’s hard to find a good spray that does it’s job AND smells great! Every morning I straighten my hair and then I find that my hair lays too flat and I always have a ton of flyaways at the top of my face. This hairspray has worked great with fixing both issues!

This hair spray is great for those who have fine and thin hair. This is how my hair is and unfortunately I have been losing hair more and more over ever since I finished college. This hair spray is great for someone who is looking to add more volume, which is what I need when styling my hair. I don't want my hair looking flat and unloved. The great thing is this hair spray gives my hair volume without leaving a hard sticky feeling in my hair. I love it!

I think this product works fairly well. I am impressed, mind you I don't style my hair wildly. I just mostly like to tame my fly aways, and working at Menards I need a strong hold. The hairspray I was using before was very crunchy and I don't like that very much. However, this hairspray held up very well, with minimal crunchiness, and it brushed out fairly easy.

Reduces fly aways

I work in NYC and walk to work almost everyday and during the winter months my hair gets MAJOR fly aways and static from outdoor elements and nothing can get rid of them.
I tried this product and it has helped a lot. It smells good too. I only give it 4 stars because I do have to reapply it whenever I come back inside from being outside

My hair is colored, fine and medium length. I use this right after styling. It holds extremely well and smells lovely. The hold lasts overnight well into the next day, and my hair actually feels fuller the next day or two. There is no helmet-head effect if you just use a moderate amount.

I've tried so many hairsprays in my life and finally came across a non sticky, anti humidity (24 hrs!!!!) Miracle. I use it whether my hair is curly to add axtra volume & take away frizz and when I iron it with the 'flat iron protector' to keep the straight the way it looked when I left my house. I love all Garnier products!

I have been using this product for about 5 years. I have tried other hairsprays including hold #4 & #5, plus very expensive sprays. I always come back to this spray. I have a lot of very fine hair, that can go limp easily. I do find that you need to spray it and wait about 10 minutes to dry before going out in the humidity for it to work at its best. I don't know what I would do if they ever discontinue this product.

Great product but don't go to stiff

This hairspray is great but I do warn you, you don't have to get the highest #5 for awesome hold. I first bought #3 extra strong and loved it when I ran out I got #4 and it was too much. My hair was too stiff and usually I have to go heavy duty but that is how good this hairspray is, even with flat, thin & staticy hair.

I bought this for it's price range - I hot rolled my hair - shook the can well - it goes on too wet and pulled down my curls - was a waste of my time - uneven glumpy and stiff

I have always struggled with styling products. But this one is fantastic. It doesn't weigh my hair down or get crunchy. My hair keeps its style but you can still run your fingers through it. LOVE IT!
