Love this color!!

At the age of 56 I am predominately gray... if I allowed it to grow out! But I'm not at the point of my life that I'm ready to do that. My hair WAS a medium brown thru my life. I've tried so many brands and colors before I found the right color at this stage and it was Garnier's dark "natural" blonde. It doesn't turn orange or green as some as the other tones of golden or if I used an ash tone. Only problem was I had to color my hair every 3 weeks. When I saw the new "ultra coverage" it was a game changer! It keeps the gray at bay a lot longer and is so much more natural looking. I absolutely love this one! Unfortunately, it is out of stock everywhere... and I hope and pray it hasn't been discontinued!!

Very Disappointed in this product

Like others have stated, this product did not cover the gray hairs very well at all. I also found after washing my hair only two times, it was as if I never colored my roots at all. No color left on them. Directions were followed exactly! I decided to give this Nutrisse Ultra Coverage 500 Glazed Walnut a try since they state 100 % gray coverage. It certainly does not live up to its name for providing Ultra Coverage. I have colored my gray roots myself many times in the past with other products, but NEVER had this happen. This product might perform well on those who do not have a lot of gray, but for those who have a lot of gray just beware. Very disappointed! Now I have to wait at least four more weeks before applying another haircolor brand to cover these roots up.

glowing roots on grays

I have been using Garnier #600 for YEARS! It was foolproof and looked great. Whatever they have done to this product is horrible. My roots are glowing red and my hair now looks brassy. PLEASE change it back to the original formula. I can no longer use your product.

I've used #600 for years, I used to love this product!! The color looked so natural, people were surprised I colored my hair to cover greys. The new formula has a fake orange hue, my hair looks unnatural and cheap. Even the mirror is upset. Why o why did you change the color? I need to go find a new product....sigh.

New Packaging + New Formulary = Green Roots

I have used 200- Deep Soft Black for years. I always buy several boxes at one time. About eight or nine months ago, I noticed the packaging changed along with the formulary. After coloring my hair, my roots turned green. It was awful. Since I used this color for so long, I searched around to find the old packaging so I could buy the old formulation of the 200 - Deep Soft Black. Now, I'm stuck with boxes of the new formulary that I will never use because I turned my roots green.

This is not rocket science but it appears it is to get what you pay for. This made my hair reddish medium brown. Aside from letting it fade, I am not sure how to correct it. Why can't you make a color that turns out the way it shows on the box. The results are extremely disappointing.

Something has changed

I have been using Garnier hair color for 20 years and changed over to the Ultra Coverage about 6 orn8.months ago due to stubborn grays. They have changed the look.of the box and labeling and I'm wondering what they changed about the hair color itself. I colored my hair last week with number 500. First thing I noticed is that its harder to squeeze out, it seems like the cream has gotten thicker. I left it on the 25 minutes and rinsed with cold water, like always. Once it dried I noticed my hair was darker than normal. I waited 3 days to wash my hair with my color treated shampoo. The water that was running off my hair was brown. I thought ok this has never happened before but maybe it was so dark some was washing out. I washed my hair again tonight, 3 nights later, and its still running brown. I don't wash my hair in hot water and use cool water to rinse. I've never had my color run in all the years of using this brand. I don't know what has changed but I'm afraid after all these years I may need to find a different brand of color.

If you have hair that was color treated, no hair dye is strong enough to lighten dyed hair.Naturally black hair is very hard to lighten. The closest you can bring black hair to a blonde is to use the Nutrisse Ultra Color B3, Café con Leche. This high lift color will bring naturally dark hair to a light golden brown.   • R: Hi there Mary7890! Unfortunately, dyed hair is much harder to lighten than natural hair. No hair dye is strong enough to lighten artificial pigment. If you applied the dye to previously colored hair for the full 25 minutes then you may be seeing over absorbed pigment. This can look extreme in the beginning. Daily shampooing will gradually work the excess pigment from the hair and slowly lighten it. For faster results, lather, let the shampoo sit a few minutes, rinse and lather a second time. We hope your color lightens for you.

This color will work on hair that is dark blonde to dark brown. On darker hair the gray will cover, but the dark hair will not lighten to a light brown.
