Rated 4 out of 5 by MarciePie2 from Redesigned Container My rating is for the product, not the container. The new designed container gets a zero. It's absolutely the most difficult top to open, I have to use a washcloth to pry it open. There are so many dispenser options available, why would the designer ever change it to this particular one? Used to have a button you could use your thumb to pop open, but it you use your thumb now you will get it scraped on the sharp edge, that is IF you can even get it to open. I actually transferred the shampoo into the old bottle with the button, but that's a pain. Please change that design to something more user friendly. Meanwhile, I will use another product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by OilSpillOnMyHead from Oily oily!!! After I couldn’t find my normal shampoo in store I thought I would try this one, it said normal to oily hair so I figured it would work well on normal to oily hair! But I was wrong! It makes my hair so flat and so oily!!! My roots are disgusting 12 hours after I’ve washed my hair. It took my so long to get my hair to the point of not being super oily and this shampoo brought it right back. Do not buy if you have oily hair!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Cheryllsm from Please bring back old formula!!! I used the old Pure Clean for years. I have curly/wavy fine wavy hair. I try to follow the curly girl method but still need to shampoo my hair, otherwise it gets too flat and weighed down because it's baby fine. I loved the old formula, it didn't contain SLS was able to cleanly rinse through my hair without knotting up my curls. It was my Holy grail shampoo. Most non SLS shampoos I've tried knot up my curls and create more tangles than before adding shampoo to my hair. I've been trying to find a new shampoo for months. I finally saw this in stock again at Kroger and picked up a bottle, I wish I would of read the ingredients on this one before purchasing. Please bring back the old formula, it was the perfect shampoo for curly hair folks that still use shampoo.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Youwishyouknew from Gross new formula This new formula is disgusting and makes my hair feel so oily and dirty. I gave it a good college try but since then have started buying it from private sellers on ebay. Of course, they upcharge it but I'd rather pay more for the good formula than give you, Garnier, anymore of my money. Bring back the old Pure Clean and I'll start buying from you again. Your other lines of shampoo are ineffective, as well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by MHHD from PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD PURE CLEAN I used the Garnier Pure Clean for YEARS and LOVED it. I swore by it, as it made my hair gorgeous, full, very strong and felt amazing. I always had people compliment me on how beautiful my hair was. I noticed the new bottle design of the product and bought it anyway as I thought it would be the same, but it is TERRIBLE. The new Pure Clean makes my hair flat and thin, it even seems frizzy, just horrible! Please bring back the old shampoo! It's the only shampoo that I have been able to consistently use for years and it is SO HARD to find a shampoo that actually works!!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Pebbles225 from Changed I faithfully used your Pure Clean for a number of years until recently. I placed my order for my usual 10 bottles online and what I received was like grease in a bottle. I noticed the bottle went from 94% to 97%. Has anyone tried this new formula? It is nothing I mean nothing like the old stuff. Now I am stuck with this grease in a bottle. It would have been nice to be aware of the change so as a consumer I could have made an informed decision about my purchase. Can you change it back or let me know where I can find the old product. Thanks for your time Gloria

Rated 1 out of 5 by JohnG from Old Formula Perfect Product A few years ago I was very impressed when I discovered your original Pure Clean product. I thought it was very intelligent marketing for a hair-care company to finally recognize there is a large segment of the population that still values a shampoo that thoroughly cleans hair and rinses completely at moderate water temperature. Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate accomplishes this, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate does not. You removed the key ingredient that made this shampoo uniquely popular with a multitude of users, and replaced it with the standard alternate ingredient ion (Sodium) found in nearly every other basic shampoo on the market. The old formula was an improved, perfectly balanced and milder version of the legendary Prell Classic shampoo formula. Now if I want to get my hair clean and completely rinsed without drying as your exceptional old formula did right out of the bottle, I need to use a diluted form of Prell Classic. You should have left this Pure Clean product as it was, and made another by a different name. Many people really appreciate simply clean hair with complete rinsing from a shampoo that can be used daily. If we want a shampoo product to leave residue and coat our hair before the natural oils kick in a few hours later, we will apply it ourselves. Can I suggest bringing back "Classic Pure Clean" formula? It worked for Prell, not to mention CocaCola!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Iforero from PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD FORMULA! The old formula was the most amazing product. I swore by it, passed it on to my 3 sisters, friends, even coworkers because I never had more compliments. Used to leave my very fine, very long, straight hair super cleansed and fresh, and smelled amazing, now I just look greasy and no volume all the time, and my hair even clumps in sections when air dried. I noticed the bottle changed months ago but I had several family size bottles so I wasn't too worried until I ran out and noticed the difference after ONE wash with the new formula. Please please PLEASE Garnier, bring back the old formula. P.S. I've tried sleek and shine zero and full and plush and it's still nothing in comparison.
