It won't sprayer! Just bought, 1st time

I just bought it because a friend told me it was a great product, but my bottle won't spray. I even ran some warm water over sprayer & still won't sprayer. It seems to me the gel is too thick.

Fix the spray bottle

Good product, no complaints there. However, the spray bottle doesn’t work well. When it does spray, it sprays out in a single stream, not a fanned out spray.

Bring on the frizz!

Not sure what happened to this product or what was eliminated. My hair has never been so frizzy. The product does not hold the curl. Will have to find another product as the hold is not as it used to be. Very disappointed as I have used this product for over 10 years.

Very disappointing

I don't love it! The gel comes out of sprayer in such small amount it takes so long to do my entire head. I tried spraying into my hands and then applying but found it easiest to unscrew top and pour into my hands. I won't be buying again.

Keeps my curls shiny and frizz-free

Ever since I have changed my hair routine, I have switched my hair products, too. No more flat iron for me...I'm embracing my naturally wavy hair :) I take showers at night, so after I ring out the water from my hair, I brush my hair with a wide-tooth comb, apply my garnier fructis sleek and shine intensely smooth leave in conditioning cream to my ends and I part my bangs to my right. Then, I separate my hair into two sections since my hair is THICK. I spray each section with the curl shaping gel and give it a quick toss while scrunching lightly to enhance my waves. Then, I air dry my hair until its about 95% dry and sleep on it. When I wake up, I have these beachy, bed-head looking waves. My hair isn't crunchy at all, it's soft, there's no frizz, and it has so much shine. Good thing I bought two new bottles yesterday...this gel probably lasts me at most a few weeks, maybe a month, depending how much I feel like using. Since my hair is more wavy than curly, it makes my hair have a little more "bounce" to it and it enhances my waves. I would recommend this to anyone with thick, wavy or curly hair like me. If you're going for a bed-head or beachy look, you should give this product a try.

WHAT a DISAPPOINTMENT ! I have been extremelyhappy wth Garnier products UNTIL I tred theis spray gel. It does NOT SPRAY ! It blobs outwads of gel which run down the sprayer and down the side of the container. It does a wonderful job of maaking my hands alll gooey and sticky. I bought it once but NEVER again

Bring back Wonder Waves!

Please bring back Wonder Waves! It had a better distribution and easier spray for the perfect hold. This one is hard to spray (you can't use the bottom portion in the bottle because it's so thick) and leaves crunchy spotty areas. I'm heartbroken after more than a decade using wonder waves

Love the original without the coconut water

Too thick. Very hard to pump out of the container. It works alright but doesn’t distribute on hair very well but of thickness. Definitely not a good SPRAY gel. Would be better in a squeeze tube.

I have bought Fructis products for years. I usually buy the Scrunch Gel for curly hair. I thought I would try the new product Curl Shape. You cannot spray this product on. The gel is too thick to get through the spraying device. I was definitely disappointed. I thought you should know that I do not think this product will sell out.

Change isn’t always good

I use this stuff religiously, but with the “new look” of the bottle came a change in formula. It doesn’t work as well as it used to and I find I have to add a second product to get the result I want. The new bottles seem to have more water and less gel. I might as well find something new altogether. I’m really disappointed.

While this is a good product, wonder waves was better. This is too sticky and thick. Wonder waves was light and did not leave your hair weighted down and you having to wash your hair after use. Please, please bring Wonder Waves back.

Great for wavy/curly hair

I have 2c-3b curly hair and this works awesome! My hair is soft, shiny, defined, and it has a decent hold. This doesn't have the hardest hold, but it holds for a couple days and it smells so GOOD! I would highly recommend to others with fine wavy/curly hair. I also love the price.

Better than Wonder Waves

I was sad when Wonder Waves was discontinued. I tried this, and I like it better than Wonder Waves. I put it on my barely damp hair and scrunch it.

Amazing Product.. Just Leaves Hair Very Crunchy

When it came down to styling my curl hair, I’ve always been a fan of the granier fructis. I even have the non frizz serum when I flat iron my hair. I love this spray! It leaves my curls very defined even the next day! My only problem is that the spray bottle is hard to manage (probably because it’s a gel and not a liquid solution) and leaves my hair crunchy. The only good outcome is that my curls last for two days. My advice would be to add water to make it a little less crunchy, but other than that i love my frizzy curly hair.

I have used this gel for ten plus years and in 2022 you changed the formula and it really, really sucks now. PLEASE bring back the old formula!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not what I hoped for

Got a new haircut and needed a new product to tame frizz and define my wavy hair. This was not the one. It doesn’t spray evenly as the product is too thick to come out of the sprayer well. I was able to spring up my waves, but it didn’t help with frizz and just felt too sticky.

Bring Back the Original Formula!

I have been using Curl Shape for close to 20 years and it WAS great. The new formula with the coconut water DOES NOT WORK nearly as well as the original, it's horrible. You had the only spray gel on the market that actually worked and you've ruined it. Bring back the original formula!

This product with the coconut is inferior to the product you had previously. Please- please bring back the old formula of the Curl Shape and also please bring back Wonder Waves. I have people practically on a daily basis what products I use on my hair and I can no longer recommend your product. Please listen to the consumers and bring back the other formula

Holds Hair, Makes Blondes Look Greasy and Nasty

I used to really like this product before the recent change. I do not like the addition of coconut to the spray gel. Coconut or any other oil is the worst thing to add to hair styling products for blonde people because it makes their hair look like a greasy french fry or like they have bad hygeine because they haven't washed their hair in days or weeks. Shininess is not a good quality for blonde people, it makes them look nasty. I use spray gel because regular gel makes my hair look white and flaky. I need a dry, clean, matte finish like I took a shower and took the time to style my hair. Coconut might hydrate some people's hair if it is extremely dried or fried, but not blondes. Do not use this product if you have oily hair or skin.

Curl Shaper my favorite- hard to find in stores

I started using Curl Shaper a few years ago while on vacation. When it’s really humid and I can’t get my hair to cooperate, spritzing and scrunching with Curl Shaper gives me amazing curls! My hair isn’t naturally curly, but it has a wave to it and Curl Shaper coaxes wonderful curls!

Just Flyaway Hair

I have chin length thin, fine hair, short to medium layers, with natural wave. I blew dry with a round bristle brush. This product did not define my wave or give me curls. All I got was flyaway hair with static, and it seemed to straighten rather than enhance my wave. It certainly did not give my hair any body. The only positive was volume. For me it was a waste of money.

I’ve been using Fructis Curl Shape(the old formula) for over 15 years. I have thick long wavy/curly hair, and the OLD formula made my hair curlier, defined my curls, and made my hair look shiny. It lasted all day long, and the next day I could spritz it again and my hair looked even better then the day I washed it. I literally use a bottle a week. The new coconut water formula is absolutely awful. It doesn’t help improve my curls, seems to weigh my hair down, and the next day my hair is dried out. If I spritz it again, it looks worse. Changing this product was a TERRIBLE decision. Please bring back the old formula.

Bring back Wonder Waves, this is a bad replacement

I've used Wonder Waves for years and years. I have fine, whispy hair and it was the only thing that put a semi curl in it without the frizz. I tried the new Curl Shape Gel, ugh, this is horrible. The only thing half decent is the smell. I do like coconut, but this stuff left my hair sticky, crunchy and when it FINALLY dried it was frizzy/staticy. I hate it! Goes on way to thick. I scoured the internet and bought the last 3 bottles in existence of Wonder Waves on Ebay. This is a daily product I use. I have also tried Not Your Mothers Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray. It's the only thing I have found close to what I need. I use my Wonder Waves sparingly to make it last and the other for every day. Please comment others on products you have found that work! I also use Garnier Hair Spray and Shampoo/Conditioner. If they change these, I'm out for good.
