1 kit

Our 1st oil powered permanent haircolor for brilliant color and visibly healthier hair.

The oil powered technology propels colorants deep into the hair, without ammonia, giving you pure, vivid, long-lasting color. Olia visibly improves and restores hair as the oils help to reverse roughness and dullness for more brilliant, long-lasting color. Hair is Hydrated, Silky and up to 3X Shinier than unwashed, uncolored hair.

How is Olia different?
Unlike traditional haircolor, Olia uses an exclusive 60% oil blend with natural flower oils to achieve brilliant, radiant color results. The unique non-drip velvet cream formula propels colorants into the hair--without ammonia--with a pleasant sensorial fragrance.

Is this shade right for me?
Garnier Olia shade 6.3, "Light Golden Brown," has brilliant, golden tones that will add warmth to your results and will provide 100% gray coverage. This shade is best for anyone with natural hair between dark blonde and dark brown. If you would like to try a lighter shade that has golden reflects, try shade 6 1/2.3. Alternatively, for a darker shade, try 5.3.

If you would like to remain in the light brown range but would like to try other reflects and tones, there are many shades to choose from including 6.0, 6.03, 6.43, and 6.60.

*For women with currently color treated hair, there are special considerations for the color result you can achieve. Because of this, we do not recommend shade 6.3 for hair that has been previously colored shade 4.0 "Dark Brown," or darker. For more help, use our Shade Selector Tool to find the perfect shade for you!

How to use:

Applying Olia: A Sensorial Experience
Olia transforms coloring your hair into a new sensorial experience. Because Olia is ammonia-free, it won't irritate your scalp and there is no harsh ammonia smell. Instead, Olia has a delicate floral scent. And, its non-drip, velvety cream texture helps provide optimal comfort during application.

Follow this step-by-step process when applying color at home:

1) Always do a skin test 48 hours before.
2) Apply to dry, unwashed hair.
3) Apply gloves, snap off tip and remove the cap of the Developer Bottle and add Colorant.
4) Shake the bottle vigorously to mix.
5) Start applying color at the roots, then away from roots to the tips.
6) Extend color through to the ends and massage into hair.
7) Leave formula on for 30 minutes.
8) Massage hair thoroughly before rinsing to optimize rinsing process.
9) Rinse hair thoroughly until water runs clear.
10) Apply conditioner after color and leave on for two minutes, then rinse thoroughly.

Tip: Try Micellar Cleansing Water, Waterproof to remove hair color stains

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the Color After looking at "On Sale Products" still chose this one. Loved the feel, and no strong odor. Didn't cover the grey 100%. Will try the product 1 more time since I loved the color on me.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from application bottle is a nightmare The design of the bottle is poor. It is slippery, but on top of that, the top of the bottle would not screw on straight. Because of that, the dye would come out the sides of the top. One other thing is the color came out darker than it appeared on box when put on my color of hair..

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Hair come out much darker than the box... Bought this on Sat. -a light brown . The box show 3 hair samples of what to expect .since I have long hair , bought 2.. My hair did come out softer BUT so much darker . My husband asked me. Why I did that ..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for my hair I've used this product at least 8 times now. I don't find the bottle to be any more slippery than any other brands. The color works great on my thick, unruly hair. I get great grey coverage in 30 minutes. There is plenty of product for my shoulder-length, thick hair. I was hesitant at first to try Olia because of the negative reviews, but I am very glad that I gave it a chance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this brand I am 66 years old, and use color 6.3 in the summer, and 6.0 in the winter. It covers my gray and I get compliments with my hair color. I usually don't openly endorse a product, but love this. And THANK YOU Olia for the improved gloves!!!! More like surgeon gloves than cheap ones other brands use!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Many problems 1. Package contents: The applicator bottle is a disaster. It is VERY slippery and difficult to hold/squeeze without it slipping out of your hands. It's a smooth, oval shape. I am very keen on not getting any dye on my marble sink, floor, and carpet. These dyes do stain permanently. I have short, thin, fine hair so there was just enough dye mixture to cover. If you have thicker or longer hair I don't think there would be enough dye. The "developer" (or base) comes in a large bottle which is only about half full... so bad/wasteful packaging as well. The plastic gloves are VERY tight. I have slim but large (medium size in regular gloves) hands. This makes it very difficult to remove the gloves without a mess. 2. Color: This is supposed to be "Light Golden Brown". I have light brown hair , naturally and now it is DARK brown. Much darker than the photos on the box. Not at all representative of the color name. There is nothing light nor golden about this color. I used exactly as directed and for 32 minutes (because of the gray). It did NOT cover my gray. I have about 1/2 inch of gray growing in and concentrated around my face. I was sure to provide ample dye on these areas. They are still WHITE/gray. I typically use L'Oréal and it covers these gray areas.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Soft and no awfully odor. This is my first time using olia and I found that the bottle looked pretty but the black top applicators shinny finish makes it slippery with these gloves the white lower half of the bottle was fine perhaps it's the plastics finish that is the problem but should be changed. I really enjoyed that the product was odor free during the process and after washing my hair...and my hair was soft surfing the rince it usually feels awful before the conditioner with other products but this time it was soft so loved that. My grays aren't covered tho....luckily I don't have too many but the ones I do have are still very bright and visible. I left my color in for 33 minutes and have fine hair. Any suggestions? The reason I dye my hair is to cover the gray.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not Enough! I just put #6.3, light golden brown on my chin length Bob. Lo& behold, got roots done when OUT OF PRODUCT! Now I have 2 tone hair with a stripe 1" from roots! No problems with other brands

Rated 2 out of 5 by from . I was trying to lighten my roots to match the balayage that was done a few months back. I thought that this would be a great match. Unfortunately, it just made my hair super dark brown. I mean really dark. The conditioner works well but really the color itself doesnt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Garnier Olia 6.3 Light Golden Brown I usually go to my hairstylist to color my hair, but when I have a special occasion like a job interview and such I keep a box of this around for just in case. I have also had keratin treatment done and the Olia seems to work the best for my hair. I really like the conditioner that comes with the product, do you have this same conditioner that you can buy separately? What is the brand or name of the conditioner? My gray hair is resistant to coloring especially around my face (especially at my temples), do you have any suggestions? I've tried leaving it on longer but this doesn't seem to work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Color I wanted to try this product and I love it. Matches my natural color. It smells wonderful. The color lasts for about 4 weeks. I will definitely use it again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst hair color ever!! I was so excited to try this. It did not cover most of my grays and it gave my scalp a weird orange tinge. I am super bummed. I really feel like crying! I don't know how to get rid of the orange.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really love Garnier Olia Did really well covering my gray (my main concern) and I loved the color it gave my naturally dark brown hair. I was a bit worried reading reviews about itching after application but I've always used Garnier hair products with no problem so I decided to give this one a try. Glad I did! I really loved it. Only thing, my hands are small and the application bottle is pretty wide, add the slick design and it was hard getting a good grip, ended up dropping the bottle twice...but I would still buy it again. It had a really nice smell and didn't drip like other hair coloring I've used. I bought it at a great price with a coupon I had, but I would definitely buy it again, same color, even without a coupon. Definitely 5 stars!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love it ! I have over bleached strawberry blonde hair - I wanted to go back to my light brown natural color. My hair is long and didn't want to damage it by coloring one.more time ... Olia was able to cover up my bleached out mess and look exactly how I wanted it to turn out !!! My hair is soft and smooth - no damage occurred. Not too dark either, just watch the time. No harsh aroma !

Rated 3 out of 5 by from
The light golden brown color didn't appear to be as light as I wanted. I have naturally dark brown hair but my hair color before the dye was already a warm medium brown. So I had hoped it to be lighter but instead it looked darker. Also, the tear drop shape applicator kept slipping from my hand.

Garnier provided product sample for review.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from
I got the light golden brown color which is pretty close to my natural color. Application was semi-easy but I had trouble because I have super long hair. Processing was not the best I've ever experienced. It made my scalp pretty itchy during the 30 minute wait but the scent wasn't overpowering or obnoxious which is nice. As for the color, I think it really boosted my natural color without looking fake.

Garnier provided product sample for review.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from
My hair didn't get any color at all, but it is something that happens with my hair since a while ago with any brand, so I can't give less than 3 stars since it is not this product's formula fault; it also didn't damage my hair. But I can't give it more than 3 stars because I could not see if the color on the hair looks the same as promised in the box pictures.

Garnier provided product sample for review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from
I really liked the formula of this product, very creamy and it smells nice, I was very surprised that it was no ammonia smell at all and its a huge plus, also no burn or itchiness after coloring which is great. The color is beautiful and I love it ( I got light golden brown)

Garnier provided product sample for review.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wrong Color I naturally have light brown hair, and I'm starting to get some gray. I decided to color my hair to cover it. I purchased the Light Golden Brown, 6.3 shade. According to the box, this would be very close or just a bit LIGHTER than my natural color. I was ok with that. After following all directions, I washed my hair, and to my horror it was dark brown!!! Not even a medium brown, but an extremely dark brown that now makes me look sickly with my pale skin. I'm was terrified to purchase another box of a lighter color, because I didn't know what color that would turn out, so I had to spend almost $100 to have a professional correct it. The only good thing about this hair colorant is that my hair was very soft afterwards, thus the 1-star rating

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I would like to let you (Garnier) know how much I love your new ‘olia’ oil-powered permanent hair color. Coloring my hair is not optional these days as the roots of my medium brown hair grow out completely gray and do not blend with my artificial brown locks. I have used Loreal Excellence Crème hair color for the last 8 years and love the quality of color and sheen, as well as how soft my hair feels after using this product. However, while walking through Target one afternoon a few months ago a new brand caught my eye as it was displayed prominently on an aisle end cap. I was struck by how Garnier ‘olia’ hair color is packaged stylishly in a black box with a large yellow flower on the lid from which a drop of glistening oil falls. The lettering on the box is modern and sleek and is wonderfully contrasted on the black box in bright pink and white, with a raised, silver-lettered ‘olia’ on the front. On the side of the box you tout “A new sensorial experience” and indeed it is. The protective gloves are a form-fitting, chic black, and feel and look sophisticated on my hands compared to the clear or cloudy ill-fitting gloves of other hair color kits. I love the look and feel of the modern, egg-shaped bottle with the contoured, black lid in which the color and developer are mixed, and from which the coloring is applied. I truly felt stylish and invigorated while unpacking, mixing, and applying this product. It was as you claim: “a new sensorial experience.” After applying the product and waiting long enough to color my stubborn gray roots, I rinsed, conditioned, and styled my hair as directed. I am so please with the color (6.3 Light Golden Brown). It is rich and shiny, soft to the touch, and glistens in the sunlight. I’ve never experienced a hair color event such as this. Garnier, you have immediately gained me as a repeat customer following this first experience with your terrific new hair color product. As much as I loved Loreal Excellence Cream and believe it is a great product, I will not be going back to it. Garnier ‘olia’ has made a believer out of me!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Long lasting color This is the third time I have used this hair color and have been satisfied with the lasting color and shine. Used in combination with Garnier sleek & shine Moroccan argan oil serum my hair is soft and shinny. The gloves need improving, too small & thin, and the shape of the applicator slips out of my hand.. The hair colorant is excellent. Thanks

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not True to Color Even When Went up Few Shades The olia color i used was the 6.3 1/2 lightest golden brown (selection unavailable from drop down menu). From past experience and use of boxed hair color products i went up a few shades lighter to achieve a light brown color i wanted. I have dark brown virgin hair. My hair after dyeing is not light brown at all. Its more of a deep chocolate now, oh and the roots are lighter. Unhappy :( .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from the hair color was good covered gray leaving me with soft shiney hair the hair color was good , covered the gray had enough colorant, my hair is mid back length. The gloves were too small ripped the fingertips but I have big hands the bottle slipped popped out a few times. I have been dying my hair for 25 years and would recommend Olio. maybe 7 level Dark Golden Blond soon. Thanks

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Product is unsattisfactory. I had a lot of trouble with the applicator bottle slipping out of my hands while applying the color. The bulbous shape is difficult to hold and impossible to control when you have on gloves that are wet. The color itself worked allright and the timing was acceptable. But the conditioner did not work at all. My hair was very tangled and felt coarse after rinsing. I expected the conditioner to smooth it out and make it softer but it got worse after conditioning. I have colored my hair for years using various prodcuts including Garnier. I am very disappointed in Olio.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not cover gray, washes fast I have used the Nutrisse Nourishing Color Crème for years and love it. I tried 2 packages of Olia with very disappointing results. It did not take evenly and washed after 1-2 weeks. I will not purchase again.
