Rated 5 out of 5 by from Aloe Vera ! I absolutely love this shampoo & conditioner. I use it with the leave in conditioner as well. I never tried the citrus version before the Aloe came out, but I hope you all don’t get rid of the aloe! Just keep them both, this is the first shampoo I’ve loved in a long time. Not to mention it smells amazing!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bring back the citrus extract formula! My wife and I both used the citrus extract version for years and would have continued to do so for years to come, except it is no longer available for purchase. We stocked up on a bunch of it, but we're now down to the last bottle of it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this Line! I am reviewing as someone who has never tried the pure clean citrus line. I am so glad I found this line of products! I have a lot of health issues that have ruined my curly hair. After trying NUMEROUS products I came across this shampoo and conditioner. I decided to try it based on what I read on the bottle. I am so pleased with the results. No more buildup, my hair is shiny, manageable, less frizz, and soft! I also used the detangler spray and love it as well! Thank you Garnier!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Love this shampoo, its great smelling and I could comb my hair right out of the shower. I did add a drop of your leave in conditioner. Comb never got stuck. Yay

Rated 5 out of 5 by from PURE CLEAN Shampoo... did you change your formula? I have used your Garnier Fructis Shampoo with Active Fruit Protein PURE CLEAN 'with Citrus Extract' for many years and love it. It has become increasingly hard to find. Did you change this to the "+ aloe extract"? If so - is it the same thing - just different packaging? I loved the old stuff.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Please change back to original formulation I use this product for clarifying and have loved it. I noticed the label changed and it talks about aloe in the formulation and unfortunately its awful. My hair is greasy and feels too slick, like it's coated with something. I threw the shampoo and conditioner away and won't buy another bottle.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from New formula feels greasy I loved the old version but this new version makes my hair feel heavy and greasy. Not everyone has dry hair so I hope you bring back the old formula. I'm going to have to find another product after years of using this.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bring back the old Citrus The new formula is bad! It makes my hair heavy and greasy. The citrus is the best shampoo i have used. It smells good and feels so clean. Please bring back the old formula with citrus! I am dying without it!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from GET RID OF THE ALOE!!! This version smells, feels and works differently than the previous formula. The old shampoo truly smelled clean and felt light, plus the biodegradable aspect made it perfect for the outdoor shower. The new product smells moldy and feels oily by comparison. Awful, awful, awful. Bring it back or lose a customer. I am grabbing up all I can of the old stuff and already auditioning new products - NOT Garnier - for when I will ultimately need a replacement. Yes I realize this is just shampoo but I loved the old stuff, HATE the new stuff, and this is all it takes for me to ditch your brand.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from PLEASE bring back the old formula! I have been using Pure Clean ever since I couldn't find Herbal Essences' Tealightfully Clean shampoo, but am alarmed that the recipe seems to have changed with the updated packaging. This new stuff leaves my hair feeling greasy, which is bad enough when I shampoo, then worse when I wash every couple of days. I am very dissatisfied with this change and will not buy another bottle.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Prue clean shampoo with aloe extract I've used pure clean for years until now the new prue clean with aloe extract is terrible left my hair feeling greasy and oily the old prue clean with citrus extract was sooooo much better don't know why they changed it but I'll never buy any of there product again unless they go back to the old formula

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Biodegradable I had to do more research than I wanted to find out if this was biodegradable like the old formula. Put it on the bottle if it's biodegradable please!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kroger’s is now selling the old formula! Not sure what’s up, but I just bought 6 bottles of the old Pure Clean citrus formula from two different Kroger’s stores. Are they bringing the old formula back or what? Washed my hair with it and now it feels thicker again! Yay!,

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad The old citrus worked much better. My hair feels greasy and limp. The aloe vera also damaged my towels. Will not buy again and will advise friends and family to not purchase. Such a shame

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pure clean, pure love!!!! I love it, a few months ago I began to have dandruff, I used head and shoulders and left my hair horrible, very greasy, then I tried pure clean, and the dandruff disappeared, my hair is no longer greasy, it looks shiny and healthy ... I love it!!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Switch back to old formula! This new formula is absolutely terrible and, judging by the recent reviews, I’m not the only one who feels this way! Garnier is loosing a lot of loyal customers because this was the only collection that was marketed towards people with naturally oily hair and now we have to look for another brand to use. The new formula does the exact opposite of clean my hair, it felt oily immediately after I dried it. I would highly suggest switching back to the old formula, as the new product will just sit on the shelves and collect dust. After trying this product twice, it went straight to the garbage. Please switch back to the formula with citrus!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible! I have used Garnier Pure Clean shampoo for years. You should change the name after this latest formula change. This new formula left my hair neither pure nor clean feeling after use. It’s disappointing that Garnier would “fix” something that was never broken to begin with. I will no longer be using this shampoo and will likely be tossing the brand new bottle I just bought. The new formula is horrible!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The old pure clean was top notch Pure clean was the best! I got this one at Walmart since it was the only one closest to that but it’s left my hair not feeling very clean and very greasy! Please bring back the regular pure clean my hair was finally normal and felt fabulous! It was my favorite shampoo!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from So disappointed I started buying the original Pure Clean 2 in 1 and loved it. When you changed the formula, and went to the citrus formula, I tried it, and I liked it so decided to keep using it. But this change is such a disappointment. I don't feel any incentive to continue using a product that I know I cannot count on to be the same next time I go to buy it. So I will be looking at different brands and look for something that is more consistently the same.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DOES EXACT OPPOSITE OF CLEAN! BRING BACK CITRUS! Stumbled upon the new Pure Clean with Aloe shampoo at a local drug store a couple weeks ago and was excited because I’m tired of paying a ton of money on a salon grade bottle of shampoo that will actually leave my oily hair clean for more than one full working day. I was very disappointed after using this product, as my hair was greasy only a few hours after washing it! I immediately looked up the reviews on this product and found that 90% of loyal Garnier Pure Clean customers felt the same way about the new formula and wish Garnier would’ve left the Pure Clean with Citrus formula alone! However, it seems that Garnier’s response to these comments is (more or less) “oh well, just try another one of our products”! Well, news flash, the PURE CLEAN product is the ONLY Garnier product that is made for oily hair. People with oily hair don’t need help with shine, moisturizing, strengthening, growth, etc. We trust that a product that says it’s made to CLEAN our hair will actually do what it says it will do. We do not want to try any of your other products because we need a product that will clean, and Garnier screwed up their only product that did that! I actually stumbled upon a few left over bottles of the old Pure Clean with Citrus shampoo and bought all the bottles that store had because it actually leaves my hair clean for more than 3 hours, imagine that! How about you switch back to the old formula with citrus that had great reviews and made many loyal Garnier customers instead of just telling them to try another one of your products that they know will not work for their hair type! Disappointing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Formula change big mistake. I thought they just tweaked the formula, but this is totally different from the old Pure Clean shampoo. It doesn't even leave my hair feeling clean. I will have to throw out the bottle I just bought and look for a new brand of shampoo.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bring original citris back I don’t like this at all. My hair did not smell clean like with the pure citris. Please bring it back. The Aloe is too heavy and makes my hair greasy. Why discontinue a perfect product pure clean citris?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bring back the old. I have been using the original shampoo since I was in 6th grade, I’m 20 now. This shampoo has been my rock for years and it’s been very upsetting to see it slowly fading off the shelf. Apparently now, discontinued all together. The new formula weighs down my hair and keeps it oily. I don’t understand why companies always have to discontinue they’re best products— guess it’s time to find a new shampoo :(

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bring back citrus formula I’ve used the Pure Clean with citrus for years. Loved the citrus shampoo. It was the only one that really cleaned my hair without leaving it dry. I tried the replacement and it stinks. It weighs down my hair too much and it just doesn’t feel as clean or look as good. Now I have switched to other brands to find a replacement. Please bring back the citrus formula! The number of comments here saying the same should tell you there is still a market for the product!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bring back old formula After I had my first son 8 years ago my hair changed and became very oily. It took me a long time and many different shampoos to find one that worked for my hair and didn’t leave me with an allergic reaction. Garnier Pure Clean with citrus was the perfect shampoo. My hair was back to normal and I was so relieved. When I realized that they had changed the formula I was so disappointed. It is not the same or even close. I can’t use it now because I am allergic to it. I am so upset that I have to start all over again searching for something that works that I can tolerate.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from what happened to the original pure clean? Dont want all the "flavored' shampoos' (sleek and shine, or with this or that, etc..etc,) just want the originL pure clean with citrus extract. Discontinued? ..... time to find another shampoo. garnier takes up so much shelf space in the stores with too many fantasy flavors (probablly all the same thing basically.). really tired of it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hair is dirty right after washing This shampoo left my hair oily and dirty at the roots immediately after washing it, my second day hair looks like I haven’t washed my hair in at least 3 days. Throwing away the bottle and going back to my old shampoo.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from New Pure Clean Shampoo My daughter was using the original Pure Clean shampoo for normal to oily hair before this new formula came out. Her hair is quite oily and the original Pure Clean was the ONLY shampoo that cleaned her hair properly. The new formula leaves her hair looking unwashed and dirty. Since it took us about three years to find a shampoo that works for oily hair, I am extremely disappointed that Garnier didn't do better market research to determine the necessity for a change in formula or even the removal of the existing formula.
