What Does 98% Naturally Derived Ingredients Mean?

We consider an ingredient naturally derived if:

  • It is unchanged from its natural state.
  • It has undergone chemical or other processing, which modifies it from its natural state but it retains at least 50% of its molecular structure from the original plant source.

In general, a raw ingredient is processed to improve its stability, efficacy and/or safety for use in hair care products.

  • The degree of processing varies for each ingredient, but at the end, only a plant-based ingredient that retains at least 50% of its molecular structure from the original plant source is considered naturally derived for Garnier Fructis products.
  • Minerals must retain the same chemical composition as their natural mineral ingredient.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from HATE IT. I have thick curly hair & this gives me no moisture whatsoever. I have to use a TON of it & even then it just doesnt work. However, my boyfriend who has fine hair does like it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My hair has been so much smoother and so much healthier with using it. I damaged my hair a lot and went looking for ways to fix it and found this. Its been amazing and has an amazing smell. I would recommend this if you like to straighten, dye, or curl your hair.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Probably one of the worst shampoo and conditioners So this product does smell nice and left my hair feeling nice the first time I used it but the second, third, and so on, was horrible. It left my hair feeling dry and heavy. It didn’t moisturize my hair, just made it look greasy. Background: I do not have horribly dry or damaged hair, but it does have split ends and due to dry climate, I’d like my hair could be smooth and moisturized.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works on my dry ends I liked this conditioner better than the shampoo, I put it on my ends which tend to be dry and it made them softer and more manageable. The conditioner has a great consistency, not watery, but a good thickness that you can really feel coating your hair while using it. I love the smell of this and the packaging is extremely eye catching, I really love the square shape.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I bought this product, because normally I love Garnier products, and was excited to try one that was going to heal and smooth my damaged hair. (I have bleached my hair a lot over the years.) however, this product left my hair feeling very coarse. It was not easy to brush through after, and left my hair every grainy like and frizzy. I was very dissatisfied with this particular product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I think this was better than the shampoo. It did definitely moisturize my hair, but I'm not sure that this product would lead the pack in conditioners that I like. It did smell good, and I don't think that this product wouldn't work for other people.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is a great, long-lasting product and I enjoyed it a lot. It did make my fine hair feel a little weighted and oily on occasion, but other than that, it was overall a fantastic product that made me receive a lot of compliments.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This conditioner has worked very well with my hair as I feel that it has moisturized it very well and given my dry hair some of its life back! the only downside for me would be the smeel as it smells like the popcorn jelly bean.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I wanted to like this conditioner I really do and my shampoo and conditioner I always base it more on the conditioner side just because I rely on that to detangle my hair which it did, but the reason Im giving it three stars its because one the bottle itself small and expensive two because the consistency of it is thick which is fine but it was more on the leave in treatment type of thick and three because I had to put a lot of conditioner for it to actually lather all over my hair. Will I be repurchasing this shampoo and conditioner? No. Will I try the other new products of it? Idk yet. Wishing for the avocado one to be a bit better. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Smells Great, Basic Conditioner This is an amazing smelling conditioner! It works okay - I can't say that my hair felt repaired after using it. To me it's a great every day type of conditioner that smells wonderful, but I didn't see any noticeable difference in the condition of my hair after using it to be honest.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from smells amazing Garnier Fructis Damage Repairing Treat Conditioner with Papaya Extract smells so good and works great with same shampoo. Helps my hair looks more shinier and healthy. The condition feels like it nourishes and de tangles my hair faster.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I really wanted to love this item. It's paraben free, silicone free, the list of ingredients are simple, and it smells amazing!! I'm still using it, but it just doesn't leave my hair feeling as moisturized and soft as my other conditioner. I also feel like it leaves my hair hard to manage/tangled. It may not work for me or replace my other conditioner, but it was definitely worth trying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Again, great product that smells amazing. I have dyed my hair a billion colors (literally rainbow). So damage repairing was what I needed. After each shower, and into the next couple days, my hair still feels soft

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A new favorite When I had first heard that Garnier was coming out with the line of Treat shampoos and conditioners, I knew I needed to try them! I have tried and use the treat hair masks and loved them so I was really excited about this line expansion. I'm so pleased that I was able to tried them in exchange for my opinion and I must say I loved it! First off, I love knowing where the ingredients in hair and skin care products comes from. knowing that this product is made with 98% naturally derived ingredients is amazing. There is a list of the bottle that shows all the ingredients and where each one was derived from. I like the fact that this conditioner has no silicones, no parabens, and no artificial colors. Knowing all this makes me feel good and confident in using this for my hair. Using this conditioner, I felt like I had to use a little more than other conditioners, but that's not to big of an issue with me because it really did make my hair feel so soft. my hair even looked softer and more touchable. it gave my hair a pretty shine as well. Combined with the shampoo, my hair looked and felt so much healthier. I'm very pleased with this conditioner and so happy that it also help my super dry, split ends feel softer and not look so dry and brittle.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This conditioner was awful. Let me start with the good things. The smell was great, and the product was super thick. I wanted to love it. But it seriously trashed my hair. I have long hair that is@in pretty good condition. This conditioner made my hair feel like straw and it tangled like crazy. I was really disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The smell was 10/10 and made my hair feel great but the only downside is the size. I wish it was bigger

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smells so good and really helped make my hair feel healthier and my hair did not get oily as fast. I would not do anything to improve this produce and it lathers good. I will for sure buy in the future.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from For me it was good the first time I tried it, but the second time didnt work.. I have very oily hair, and made it even more, gave it to my partner whos scalp is very dry and has been working great for him.. I was very excited about using this products because my hair has been breaking and falling a lot, but not for Oily scalp people! It did made my hair look very veery shiny!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice smelling and easy to use! I always use Garnier shampoos due to my scalp being sensitive and if it has sulfate in it I tend to get dandruff from it and I am glad to say that this conditioner is indeed sulfate free. The smell is pretty pleasant and easy to get out from the bottle. You only need a small amount of conditioner, it left my hair very smooth and easy to comb through.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from this stuff is so rich! I dont need much to condition my hair. it definately is affordable to for anyone. theres nothing i can say to improve this product. this is a close second though to Maui but I'm definately happy with this product

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This conditioner is alright for my hair. The key things are that it helps with a dry scalp which balances out the shampoo that helps with the oily scalp. It's great for color treated hair and safe to use. I was satisfied with the product but I wasn't amazed. If I had to compare it to other regular conditioners it definitely wouldn't make it up there. However I love Garnier products I've been trying them out for a year and I can confidently say I love this brand. This conditioner was pretty mediocre, in my opinion. But I will say this, the longevity of the scent is something so important to me and trust me it lasts a very long time!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the scent first off! Also, the condition really feels like it nourishes and detangles my hair so quickly! I have long hair so that is a plus! I think this product is worth the price and I was very satisfied.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This conditioner feels like a whip, very light. Being someone with oily hair this is great because it rinses well and doesnt leave my hair feeling or looking greasy. I am high satisfied with this product. It smells so yummy and leave my hair soft. The ingredients are great and a lot goes a long way. Its affordable and I will definitely be purchasing in the future.
