Apply a full head of color like an expert
Easy steps for applying Color Sensation in shades 1.0 (Black) to 9.0 (Light Natural Blonde)
Step 1: Prepare
Squeeze contents of the Color Cream tube into Developer Bottle.
Step 2: Mix
Screw the cap of the Developer Bottle on well, break off the tip, cover, and shake vigorously for 30 seconds or until mixture is even.
Step 3: Apply to Roots
Keeping the gloves on, apply the product to your dry, unwashed hair using the Developer Bottle as an applicator. Start at your roots, using the bottle to separate the hair section by section.
Step 4: Apply Through Ends
Then, apply the color throughout the length of your hair to the ends. When finished, massage into your hair and ensure it is evenly spread.
Step 5: Wait 25-30 minutes
Allow the color to develop for 25 minutes. (If you have lots of gray hair, or if your hair is particularly resistant to color, you may leave on for up to 30 minutes).
Step 6: Rinse & Condition
When time is up, keep your gloves on and apply a little water to your hair, massage to emulsify the colorant. Then rinse thoroughly until water runs clear. Apply the full amount of conditioner, leave on for 2-3 minutes, and rinse thoroughly.

Learn to Touch Up Roots Like a Professional
Step 1: Prepare
Squeeze contents of the Color Cream tube into Developer Bottle.

Step 3: Apply to Roots
Keeping the gloves on, apply the product to your dry, unwashed hair using the Developer Bottle as an applicator. Use the brush handle to make 1/4 inch parts and apply the mixture with the bottle.
Step 4: Allow Color to Develop
If you are using shades 1.0 through 9.0 allow the color to develop for 15 minutes. If you are using shades 11.0 or 11.3 allow the color to develop for 20 minutes.
Step 5: Pull Through Ends
Now, use the brush to spread and distribute the hair color evenly. You can also revisit resistant areas. Then, apply the rest of the mixture on your end. If you are using shades 1.0 through 9.0, you may leave on for up to 10 minutes. If you are using shades 11.0 or 11.3, leave on for only 5 minutes.
Step 6: Rinse & Condition
When time is up, keep your gloves on and apply a little water to your hair, massage to emulsify the colorant. Then, rinse thoroughly until water runs clear. Apply the full amount of conditioner, leave on for 2-3 minutes, and rinse thoroughly.

I received this Garnier color sensation dye and tried it. WOW. Even though I have really dark hair it still took color. It was beautiful. My sister will be purchasing the same "Sweet lavender dreams" variety. Hair felt absolutely soft after as well.

This is such a beautiful hair color, but with me having dark colored hair theproduct wouldn't have shown up on my hair. I hope this doesn't disqualify me for future Vox Boxes.

What a beautiful color! I can't get over how easy it was and I didn't even make a mess (impressive for me). I just did it so I don't know how long it will stay in, but the vibrancy is fantastic. Easy to apply. Does not smell bad or too strong. I would definitely buy it again! Interested in trying out new shades!

I didn't use the color on myself. My niece loves to try wild and different colors. With her light olive skin tone and carmel hair the color came out AMAZING and totally bringing out her features! And like any other dyes she has tried this one left her hair ridiculously soft! I was completely impressed the outstanding results from this product.

My hair right now is a pale blonde right now, so the color showed up very lavender! The application is easy, and the color is as put on the box. I’d recommend this to anyone who wants to keep the lavender color for a while ☺️

I really liked this product because it smelled very good and was easy to get through the hair, I have a natural light brown hair color and ended up lightening random pieces throughout my hair then added the purple dye to my whole head. The color wasn’t super bright but it turned out great!

I used this on my undyed hair, but still had very minimal lavender show through. There are areas that are more like lavender highlights than anything else. I will say that this color did give my hair an over all better tone. It's more even and has a rose brown feel to it. While I like the outcome, I couldn't give this more than 3 stars since the box was not necessarily true to the color swatches.

Garnier Color Sensation 8.21 Sweet Lavender Dreams just didn't live up to my hair color dreams. I really wanted to like this product, but sadly I wouldn't use it again. I did appreciate that the product comes with an applicator brush when many other at home colors do not. The smell was very intense for an at home color. I expected more from Garnier since so much of their hair products smell amazing. It comes with a cheap package conditioner vs a tube. The conditioner is quite heavily floral scented. I wasn't sure what to expect for the color since the box described the color to be darker on color treated hair and lighter on hair that has not been colored. I applied this to blonde color treated hair and it is barely even noticeable. #NotWhatIExpected #Fail #Influenster #Garnier #NotMyDream

I got this as part of my first VoxBox. I had mixed emotions about trying it as I’ve heard boxed pastels can be really harsh in your hair and I didn’t want anything too crazy. I am bleach blonde and the box showed that it may turn my hair very deep purple, which I didn’t want. So, I went for a peek-a-boo ombré effect on the underside of my hair. It turned out super light. I love the lavender color and now wish I would have used more. My hair doesn’t feel any drier. And I have to note that this stuff didn’t have that terrible hair color smell. It was easy to apply with the brush and it was a great experience overall. I do think the packaging portrays a different result than what you get, but either way the color is pretty.

The Sweet Lavender Dreams is a perfect color choice for me! I have always wanted to dabble with funky colors but am afraid of going too bold. This color is a subtle purple with hues of pink and gray as well which makes my hair look awesome! The dye left my hair feeling soft and smelling great! I would definitely use again!!! My hair isn’t as lavender as the girl in the photo on the box (is it ever?!) but I like the way it turned out!

I received this product complimentary from a #voxbox campaign and sadly I just dyed my hair a week ago to a darker shade so this says it won't show up on even darker blonde hair, so I had small strips left in my hair of blonde and put this color in it and it looks so beautiful! I saved the rest for when my hair fades out again but so far I'm loving this beautiful lavender color! OMG this is so cool and so much fun!! I have never dyed my hair before (myself I mean) and with this kit was pretty easy, I almost die when I saw that stunning lavender on the box. My hair is normally dark brown but now I have like a brownish scalp and highlights so I knew I wasn't going to get the color on the box but I had to try right? I got like a light brownish-red color on my scalp and some pinky reflects on my highlights, even though it wasn't the color of the box I totally loved it and now I wand to get my hair bleached so I can use the proper lavender on this. Really fun color! Easy to do and simple direction. The only thing is that I could not try the product on myself. I have too dark of hair. Needless to say unless your blonde you cant use this color.

So far so good. I put this on the lower half of my hair which was a very light blonde to get the best color payoff. The color is vibrant, it saturated my hair nicely. There was a brassy color in middle section of my hair that is completely gone now. My hair is VERY picky with dyes. The color usually washes out unevenly after the first wash. Not the case with this! I love the way it turned out and the conditioner has a nice floral smell that isn't overpowering. The applicator brush was a nice touch. I would recommend this fun color! I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

So here's the thing.... the color my hair was before I used the product was a yellowish honey blonde color, so when I used the lavender dye it was like I put a toner in my hair and it toned down all the brassy yellowness and made my hair an ashy grey/brown color which is what I wanted it to do. I plan on also purchasing the same color dye and using it again so that I can get the lavender color which I am 100% sure will work because on the parts of my hair where I put the dye first it has a purple undertone... So I will update or post another review once I do that, overall I really like this dye.

Well I definitely don’t have light lavender locks like Kera the girl on the box, but my hair was already teal to begin with. My hair did turn a beautiful ashy blue lavender, which I actually like better. The dye smelled great and my hair feels nice and soft, not over processed.

This product never disappointments me. I've used many products made by them for years now. So once they launched this new hair dye I was super excited to get my hands on it. I love that they include a brush to make the application easier! The smell is not super harsh at all. Of course when using a dye like this is changes the texture of your hair so just be careful with doing too much to it.

Typically I would not use box color to do any type of hair color but garner has exceeded my expectations with this beautiful vibrant color in lavender dreams! It seems a tad bit softer than the photo which I like! Would definitely use again and recommend to achieve something funky!

Ladies this is a awsome product would i recommend this!!?? Absolutley...most hair dyes dry ur hair out and stink very bad like ammonia this surprisingly smells very good and has the Rose oil in it soo makes ur hair soo very soft!! i was super pleased with it i ONLY did the tips of my hair cause iam too chicken to do my whole head i have alot of hair but its super cute❤ and is very true to color!! and Influenster also getd me to try products i would not normally try so thanks again very excited to see whats in store for my next box and products!! have blessed day everyone

I want to give this 5 stars SO bad but I can't. The color didn't take in my hair at all except for the tiny bit of ends that I had that were still bleached from forever ago. I have dirty blonde hair and it hasn't been colored for about 2 yrs. Maybe it just wasn't enough time, I don't know. That being said I absolutely LOVE the color on the part that did take and would be happy to try it again if it would work for my entire head. I received this product free from Influenster
