Apply a full head of color like an expert
Easy steps for applying Color Sensation in shades 1.0 (Black) to 9.0 (Light Natural Blonde)
Step 1: Prepare
Squeeze contents of the Color Cream tube into Developer Bottle.
Step 2: Mix
Screw the cap of the Developer Bottle on well, break off the tip, cover, and shake vigorously for 30 seconds or until mixture is even.
Step 3: Apply to Roots
Keeping the gloves on, apply the product to your dry, unwashed hair using the Developer Bottle as an applicator. Start at your roots, using the bottle to separate the hair section by section.
Step 4: Apply Through Ends
Then, apply the color throughout the length of your hair to the ends. When finished, massage into your hair and ensure it is evenly spread.
Step 5: Wait 25-30 minutes
Allow the color to develop for 25 minutes. (If you have lots of gray hair, or if your hair is particularly resistant to color, you may leave on for up to 30 minutes).
Step 6: Rinse & Condition
When time is up, keep your gloves on and apply a little water to your hair, massage to emulsify the colorant. Then rinse thoroughly until water runs clear. Apply the full amount of conditioner, leave on for 2-3 minutes, and rinse thoroughly.

Learn to Touch Up Roots Like a Professional
Step 1: Prepare

Step 4: Allow Color to Develop
If you are using shades 1.0 through 9.0 allow the color to develop for 15 minutes. If you are using shades 11.0 or 11.3 allow the color to develop for 20 minutes.
Step 5: Pull Through Ends
Now, use the brush to spread and distribute the hair color evenly. You can also revisit resistant areas. Then, apply the rest of the mixture on your end. If you are using shades 1.0 through 9.0, you may leave on for up to 10 minutes. If you are using shades 11.0 or 11.3, leave on for only 5 minutes.
Step 6: Rinse & Condition
When time is up, keep your gloves on and apply a little water to your hair, massage to emulsify the colorant. Then, rinse thoroughly until water runs clear. Apply the full amount of conditioner, leave on for 2-3 minutes, and rinse thoroughly.

I received this exciting hair color complimentary from Garnier USA and Influenster for a voluntary review. I haven’t dyed my hair at home with a box color in a few years because my last experience was pretty rough... i ended up having to go to a salon and get some professional help. Let’s just say, I look like a leopard. And yes, I followed all of the instructions!
The first thing I noticed about Garnier Color Sensation was how easy the whole process would take (and in only 25 minutes) and that there was an applicator not only for a full head application but for you to get creative and paint on different sections of your hair. So if you’re wanting some pops of color underneath or only in a few sections you don’t have to fully commit to a full head of bright and colorful hair... unless you do!
The preparation was incredibly easy and another great part was that the dye actually had a pleasant scent! Far too often they smell like harsh chemicals and I’m put off by the dye before I’m even able to apply it, but not in this case! There’s plenty of product so there’s absolutely enough to check, double check, and even triple check to ensure you have enough product to complete a full head of application.
Lastly, the after color conditioner was wonderful! It smelled great and helped condition and lock in the color. I’m a natural dirty blonde so I the color came out incredibly vibrant! I’m looking forward to see how many washes it will hold up to see how well the dye holds up to color safe shampoo.
Overall, I was really impressed and would definitely recommend this product!

Im loving this new hair color.. I recieved a complementary garnier color dye from influenster and i got to say the honest truth is i love it usually i go for a brighter red but this dark red almost looks maroon and my husband is enjoying more then ever .. It smells like flowers so no stinky dye coloring ur hair is still smooth and silk after the wash out .. This is perfect ill definatly be buying more of these garnier color box dyes. If you want a bright fire engine red, this probably isn’t it. My hair was dyed a dark burgundy a couple of months ago and the tips have been bleached recently. On the dark hair, it came out a dark burgundy while on the tips it was a lot more true red, albeit on the darker side. If you plan to dye your whole head and your hair is beyond your shoulders I would recommend another box to make sure you have full saturation. The color is lovely and did not stain my neck or pillow covers so that’s a plus for me! This is a great red for those people who don’t want to go too bright.

This turned out great! I did bleach my hair first, but the color looks amazing. It's really convenient that it comes with a brush. Definitely easier to get alk the way to your scalp!

It's a very lovely color and i enjoyed how easy it was to do! you definitely need more than one box to do a whole head of hair if youve got long hair. The color is vibrant and lovely in the sun and it's stunningly beautiful and i am very happy! I will definitely buy more in the future!

Color came out nice but a little darker than the box. Didnt have a strong chemical smell and made my hair feel nice after coloring. I did not care for the after color conditioner. The real test now is to see how quickly it fades.

As someone who has been dying my hair Punk Bold Fashion colors for twenty years, I was really looking forward to this product review. I was sadden to see the color sent to me "fire" was a major disappointment. For something called fire, I expect a bright vibrant shade of red. Like Fire engine red. True red. Crayola crayon red. Sadly, This shade come out like a the sort of red you get when you arent allowed to dye your hair strange colors so you get the color red that is just pushing the limits. Or when an older person thinks they are being cool. It is just this side of not natural. But nowhere near Punk or Bold. This might of been the starter or gateway dye you get when you dont want to dive into the deep-end of Bright colors. But for a weather veteran of hair dye and rocking the unicorn mane..this was so tame to me... I wish they would have sent me the blue or purple...even the baby pink. I think I could have given a much better review. But I just cant get over how disappointing and tame this color is...I cant rock this... it would be going backwards for me.

I been red for about 3 years now, so I was happy to see that they sent me a red so keep and maintain it. I must admit I was a little scared at first to try it but after trying it I'm so happy! It left my hair feeling smooth and shiny, Im not sure if my color came out brighter because I already previously had a red in and my hair is already processed, BUT I am happy and would recommend!

Amazing! I love the color. It actually stayed in my hair unlike other red color kits I've gotten i, the past that only last a few days before,it's mostly washed out. It doesn't leave a horrendous smell like most coloring's do. It didn't do any damage on my hair either. Definitely recommend this product!

My hair was already bleached and was dyed a light red color which was starting to fade so i dyed it eith this color that i got and it turned my hair waaaaay darker it didnt even turn it close to what the color for already dyed hair says i would not recommend and will not use again now i have to use color oops to get this out

I actually did this on my BFF hair.. she has fine straight hair and its beautiful! No damage at all ..super shiny and no chemical dryness . Definitely would use again and different colors as well! Very vibrant

I absolutely love this color. I love trying new colors and brands. I have used #Garnier products in the past. This color tops the reds I have used before though. It looks AMAZING! The product smells great and it didn't irritate my skin at all. The conditioner smells amazing as well and left my hair super soft!!

I really enjoy this color it's fun for putting a little bit of fun into your hair also it does hold very well the color the only thing is is the gloves could be better but other than that the smell is not bad the color stays for a long time and your hair still feels soft after having it colored

Love love love!!!! First, the application process is awesome. It’s easy to do and with lots of variations to try out that they give you. Second the color is beautiful and vibrant. I knew I was going to get red ! It was so creamy with the usual hair dye smell. The conditioner left my hair so soft. It didn't leave my hair so bright but I didn't want it so bright either so it was good.

In now way is this color red. It is a brown/burgundy color. While some people may like it, I on the other hand do not. I will be getting a color remover this week to pull out as much color as possible. I do not recommend this or any box dye if you are wanting to go red. Just go to the salon or if you know what you are doing go to Sally's and get whatever you need to go red.

I received this product complimentary in a vox box. The packaging is quite nice. The product left my hair feeling surprisingly healthy and the color is vibrant! I would personally still rather go to a salon to get my color done but this would be a much cheaper options and isn’t too bad if you like DIY.

I love the color that’s displayed on the box, but my hair is already too dark! It didn’t show up (which is what the box said it would do) as red, only darkened my hair a bit. I would consider using this brand again, but a different color.

This color is so rich and vibrant! Perfect to use for all over color or just a simple peekaboo for a POP of beautiful color. The formula contains rose oil conditioner which works to soften and protect the cortex of the hair for ultimate shine and softness!
This kit comes with everything you need to apply the color at home! Do it yourself or grab a friend, either way they results are going to be stunning! If you’re afraid to be this vibrant all over, add a few pieces underneath the majority of your hair for a peekaboo affect!
Make sure to continue use of the color conditioner during each wash. This will help maintain the vibrancy of the color and the softness of your hair.
