What is Pineappling?
The “pineapple” technique, coined by the NaturallyCurly community, is a way to protect your curls when you sleep. Done correctly, it creates a beautiful mound of curls on the top of your head, which resembles the shape of—yes, you guessed it—a pineapple.
Definition: A means of loosely securing up your curls on the top of your head in order to help prevent tangles and preserve your curls overnight.
How it Works
Before you go to sleep, add a dollop of Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition Curl Nourish Butter Cream Leave-In to your curls then gently gather them into a high ponytail. Slip a fabric scrunchie over the base of a pony, without twisting it. You want the tension to be as loose as possible to avoid a dent in the morning. Let half of your curls fall to one side, and half to the other. Don’t worry if the scrunchie slips a little—your curls will still be protected. The next morning, instantly refresh your curls by spritzing them with Garnier Fructis Curl Renew Reactivating Spray Milk.
