At Garnier, we believe in taking care of the world around us. We continuously strive to be better for you, better for the planet and better for the way we want to live.

In our commitment to sustainability, Garnier is proud to have formed an exclusive partnership with TerraCycle®, one of the fastest growing companies specializing in making consumer products from post-consumer materials.

Through it's Terracycle partnership, Garnier is the first to provide such a comprehensive solution to personal care and beauty packaging waste anywhere in the world - no small feat considering that personal care and beauty prodcuts account for 1/3 of all landfill waste. Our goal is to collect millions of pieces of waste globally for the purposes of reducing the amount of waste sent to landfills.

Through the sponsorship of a worldwide Personal Care and Beauty Brigade® (individuals or groups who sign up to participate), packaging will be collected and shipped to a TerraCycle facility. All kinds of personal care and beauty waste that would otherwise end up in our trash cans now will be recycled or reused. To encourage consumers to join a personal care brigade, the TerraCycle logo appears on Garnier packaging. Join a Personal Care and Beauty Brigade today to help us make a difference!

In addition to diverting packaging from landfills, the Personal Care and Beauty Brigade will help recruit new members and educate communities to help make a difference. For every unit of waste collected, Garnier will contribute two cents to the charity of the individual's choice.

See How You Can Help

In celebration of Earth Month, we set up a partnership with EarthShare®, an organization with over 400 member charities focused on the environment and conservation. We also wanted our customers' involvement, so we asked them to vote on which environmental cause mattered to them most: Urban Greening, Clean Water or Recycling & Sustainability. While all are important, the clear winner was Clean Water, garnering 52% of the votes.

Through EarthShare, Garnier donated $100,000 to American Rivers, Oceana and the Surfrider Foundation, member charities committed to creating and preserving safe drinking water, helping protect our oceans, rivers, lakes and streams, and working to ensure healthier, safer families and communities. Take a look at how each of these organizations plans to put its winnings to work.
