The flexabrasion test
The Haircare Laboratories have developed a device that realistically reproduces the daily stresses inflicted on hair. The flexabrasion test measures these aggressions and subsequently checks the effectiveness of Active Fruit Concentrate in improving the mechanical resistance of sensitized hair.
A hair is made taut by attaching a weight to one end. It's then looped over the tooth of a comb. The device moves it back and forth at a set amplitude and frequency.
The hair's resistance is measured by how long it takes for the hair to break. Treated with Active Fruit Concentrate, hair takes longer to break because it is stronger.
